Loretta Bushell is a German-to-English translator, proofreader, and writer with 4+ years of experience in the publishing industry. Her translation of Die Feuerzangenbowle has been published on the Institute of Translation and Interpreting’s website and she worked on a team of proofreaders for The Routledge Handbook of Heritage Destruction.
Alongside commercial translation and proofreading, Loretta writes for Reedsy and is the editor-in-chief of NowNovel’s writing and publishing blog. She specializes in helping translators and editors grow their freelance business, teaching authors how to market themselves and diversify their income streams, and educating everyone on the uses and limitations of AI translation and proofreading tools. When she isn't writing, translating, or reading, Loretta can be found Irish dancing, playing board games, or training for her next triathlon.
