I have 10+ years' experience working on children's and YA fiction and non-fiction at UK publishers including Hachette and HarperCollins.

During my decade of experience as an in-house editor, I worked on top children's commercial fiction series such as Rainbow Magic and Beast Quest, becoming a commissioning editor at Hachette before going freelance in early 2015. Since then, as well as taking on individual clients, I have continued to copy-edit for Hachette and HarperCollins, working on high-profile authors such as David Walliams, Babette Cole and Holly Smale. I've also been involved in the fiction publishing side of dozens of brands, from Winnie-the-Pooh to Wallace and Gromit, meaning that I can offer clients the benefit of my extensive experience in developing and working with characters.

I'm a published writer as well as an editor, having written for the Secret Kingdom series, and my agent Jenny Savill of Andrew Nurnberg is currently subbing my first YA novel to publishers. So I know just how hard it is on your side of the desk!

On the non-fiction side, I spent for four years as a commissioning editor at Carlton Books and Octopus, creating quality children's reference material on subjects from space to ponies.

Absolutely amazing. Anna was incredibly professional and turned my very long manuscript around with speed. She has been brilliant to work with, and I would highly recommend and will be using her services again for future projects.

Anna was a fantastic editor that gave thorough and excellent feedback. She pointed out problems that I didn't knew existed and provided advice and directions on how I could begin to solve them. She took the time to understand my problems and concerns and provided consultation in a form of a detailed report for me to use in editing my book. She was professional, quick in responding, diligent, an...

Anna was extremely professional and I'm very happy with the service. I asked Anna to write a feedback report on a book that my friend had written, as a gift to my friend. Anna responded very promptly and in detail. She has provided extensive, insightful and invaluable advice, and my friend is is rewriting her draft based on Anna's feedback. Highly recommended.

I can't speak to highly of Anna's work and communication skills. She is quick, efficient, complete, clear, supportive and very helpful. On both occasions we have worked together she has gone beyond her brief to provide useful and potentially critical advice and suggestions. I also think she provides excellent value for money. Thanks Anna!

This was my first Reedsy experience and I was really impressed. Anna was prompt and efficient and gave me a report on my MS that was insightful, focussed, comprehensive and very helpful. In discussion of the report she helped me put together a re-write plan that I felt was achievable and that would meet the requirements of the brief I had constructed based on her feedback and our discussion. Ov...
