I'm a versatile and meticulous copy editor and proofreader with over 8 years' experience working at publishers both large and small. I love working with authors to polish and fine-tune their manuscripts, bringing clarity, cohesion and consistency. I can offer high quality copy editing and proofreading to help your words shine.

As a former Managing Editor at Hachette Children's Group, I've worked across children's fiction and non-fiction, from young readers to YA, on the Orchard and Wren & Rook lists. This included perennial favourites like the Rainbow Magic and Beast Quest series, as well as Dr Alex George's bestselling and award-winning mental health handbook, A Better Day; astronaut Tim Peake's guide to the universe, A Cosmic Diary of Our Incredible Universe; and TV farmer Kaleb Cooper's debut children's book, Kaleb's Farmyard Tales. I also worked on fiction by award-winning authors including Holly Bourne, Lisa Thompson and Vashti Hardy in my former role at inclusive publisher Barrington Stoke.

I've been copy editing and proofreading at my in-house roles since 2017. I've trained with the Publishing Training Centre and have extensive experience commissioning and reviewing the work of other editorial freelancers, so I really know what good looks like, and would love to work with you to get the best out of your manuscript. I particularly love working on YA and fantasy.
