I’ve always been passionate about language—spoken, written, and everything in between. I studied German Philology and am fluent in four languages, which has sharpened my ear for rhythm, tone, and precision. I’ve lived in the UK for most of my adult life, where I began proofreading as a favour for a friend ... and it grew from there. Over the years, I’ve built my freelance experience working closely with fiction authors—especially in horror, sci-fi, and speculative genres, editing everything from blog posts to full-length novels. I bring a careful eye for grammar, clarity, and flow, all while preserving the author’s unique voice. I also stay mindful of cultural accuracy and sensitivity, and I’m happy to flag anything that might unintentionally misrepresent or cause harm.

I always aim to respond promptly, meet deadlines reliably, and keep communication open and collaborative. Give me a big, wordy novel and a two- or three-week timeline, and I’m in my happy place—there’s nothing better than getting lost in a great manuscript.
