I’m a professional proofreader and copy editor specialising in fiction, with particular experience in horror, sci-fi, and speculative genres. I help authors turn strong manuscripts into clean, polished, publication-ready books—without losing their unique voice.

I studied German Philology and am fluent in four languages, which has given me a sharp ear for rhythm, tone, and precision on the page. Having lived in the UK for most of my adult life, I’m particularly comfortable with British English conventions, and I also work confidently in American English, following house style or author preference as required. I’ve collaborated with fiction authors on projects ranging from short stories to full-length novels.

My approach is careful, respectful, and detail-driven. I focus on grammar, clarity, consistency, and flow, while staying mindful of voice and cultural accuracy. When appropriate, I flag wording that may unintentionally misrepresent meaning, always with the author’s intent and audience in mind.

Heavier edits or poorly prepared manuscripts may be quoted at a higher rate.
