Overview
After graduating from Falmouth I set up my illustration studio on the Gower in South Wales.
I enjoy working as an illustrator on editorial, promotional, advertising, branding and publishing commissions. My innovative illustrations are bold, distinctive, wildly expressive and feature stylised characters. I'm inspired by ink wash illustration and traditional techniques as well as modern digital practices. I love creating colourful visual work for children and working with clients on authorial work for charitable causes.
I'm at home working in inks, gouache, watercolours and colouring pencils to create illustrations that are fun, fluid and expressive. My work is particularly suited to middle-grade fiction & fantasy, humorous children's fiction children's non-fiction.
In 2019/20 I worked with Crohn's & Colitis UK on an interactive children's resource to be given to young children and their families. The project was a huge success and continues to help children living with the diseases today. In 2022, the video won The People's Choice Award at The Charity Film Awards in London.
As someone who lives with Crohn's disease myself, this was a project particularly close to my heart.
As a qualified lecturer in further education, working in an education setting comes natural to me. Making instructional videos for projects using Premier Pro is something I particularly enjoy and uses my qualifications & experience in Technical Authoring.

Full room mural commission in Pebbles Day Nursery, Swansea.
Designed and painted a full space as an 'Enchanted Forest' story-telling space; complete with book-mining magic gnomes!

Crohn’s & Colitis UK Charity – Authored and illustrated a full-length children’s picture book to support young audience understanding of the medical complexities of both Crohn’s and Colitis called Meet The Crohn’s and Colitis Cats; managed complete project lifecycle and collaborated with charity design teams, resources and publications to ensure alignment with brand protocols; worked with Buff Motion to create and launch an animated version of the book.
Crohn’s & Colitis UK Charity – Created a tutorial video for the charity and managed all elements of the project including initial scope and content story board, design and graphic layouts and video editing; assigned as technical author and created high quality content targeted at both medical and non-medical audiences.
