I'm an experienced proofreader and copy editor who's worked with prestigious UK publishers, including Legend Press, SilverWood Books, Galileo Publishing and BookLife Publishing.

My job is to take a great story and turn it into a polished and professional manuscript. I do this by marking up all errors in spelling, punctuation, formatting and consistency - making sure my amendments are as clear and concise as possible. I can mark up on Microsoft Word using track changes or on Adobe PDF using the built-in commenting tools. Already have a style sheet you’d like me to follow? No problem. If not, I’ll go with the majority usage and create my own style sheet at the end so you know exactly what style conventions have been used.

I am an experienced freelance editor and professional member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading. Before I set up my proofreading and editing business, I worked in the marketing industry, proofreading and copy editing websites, blogs, catalogues, leaflets – the list goes on. But my passion lies in reading fiction, hence why I made the move to freelancing and made my passion my career.

Now I work with publishers from across the UK, copy editing or proofreading books for all ages, from Early Years books for children to crime thrillers for adults.
