There is a time when I stand here, where I escape from those ridiculous people far beyond the seas, it's a long story before I arriver here. I can walk for miles since I believe human beings are perfect beings with all capabilities we can reach anything. We are not kind of person who just not eat in a day then die, we are more than that. That's what I write while I sitting on the train, kind of cement of train, train wago I suppose. I just sit there. I often visualize where I arrive on the desert with some roads, and some caravans and bar nearby. My dream is not that big. I just try to live a peaceful life without some ego maniac try to prove like a peasants.
I think my dream gets closer since I see lots of trees, and some cactus nearby. "Ahh, beautiful land," I said.
Finally I arrive, the pleasure paradise. Where people mind their own lifes, and sit there with some cold drinks without try to impress anyone. I just get in there, with some pool board to play with, but I'm not interested. I knock the door several times, not for waiting someone to open it, but just to get the feeling of the wooden door. It's combined with green light, and probably some arcade games in it. It's probably 8 pm, and I just get in there with joyful heart. I come there, I see three seats, with an old man on the left, and a young kid on the right. I sit on the middle, and give a hand gesture to get some drink. "What do you want, boy?" A man asked. He's probably middle-aged, but probably 30 years old, while I'm 22, so It's not that huge gap to speak as a friend. But this old man beside me, with a hat and huge beard with some dirty cloak, he seems interesting. I know my interest feeling is just based on those movies I saw back in the day. Kind of mysterious old man with a hat and beard, and look on the floor. But I think this one is different, he's not pretending. I don't even think this guy has someone inside the house. "I like this place," I said. The old man smirks. His mind probably says, "Wait for your turn becomes me." But I know it, I know what it goes anyway. "Hey sir, want to get my drink?" This boy probably around 14 years old. I know he's offering me a drink just to impress me, kind of a boy who just hit puberty and tries to being cool even though just tried it for the first time. But I won't try to put sarcasm on him, just like his seniors just four years older. "What's your name, kid?" "Jam-" "Shut up I don't interested." Hahaha, I probably still the same. "Sorry kid, old habit." I go out to get some fresh air, and feels the ambience of the life I always dream of. There is a guy sitting near the tree, I know everyone who tries to being passive are still the same, nothing different. "Who are you? I bet your name is Josh." I try to pretend since it's the man named Josh from high school looks similiar. Probably it's the same person anyway, but I don't mind anyway. "How do you know my name?" He tries to be suspicious. "Because my name is Anthony, you freak!" Josh looks scared, he reads a book, probably about Franklin the Turtle. "Get your ass over here, you innocent kid!" Josh stand up, and follows me from behind since I try to give him some lesson. "By the way, how do you know my name?" Josh asked me.
"Because you are the similar person with my friend back in the day in high school." I explain tiredly.
"Oh, I see," tries to be fascinates. "Let's get some water in your caravan," I said. We walk around five meters. "Your house is quite far. Why don't you try to get inside the bar?" I asked him. "I don't want to get drunk," he said. That words make me scared, same words I got from Josh on the past. "But how do you get here?" I asked him. "I don't know," he said. "Ok, that's your front door, now I want to get inside. "Oh really, finally I have a friend," he said with an innocent voice. I look inside his house. It's very wonderful. Some clothes, some lights, a kitchen, and a bedroom, on the same place. "Wow. Your place is great Josh, should I sleep on your couch now?" I ask him. "Probably yeah, let me turn on the TV." Television? It's the best thing I ever see in the world. Man I can't stop thinking about television. "How's the cereal, Josh?" "Oh it's on the floor." Ok, it's a little bit funny. I almost forgot the theme about this topic. "Let me get some papers, I want to write man." I order him again. "Don't worry man, I won't ordering around, just to make some changes here." He pretends to not hear me, he's too excied for sure. "You have any girl to hang around?" I ask him to triggering his hormone. "Not really, sir Anthony. Not really," he looks sad. "Too bad, you probably need to to some pushups." "Which one sir?" He confused. "The one with 30 reps. Which school do you go?" I ask more. "50 cents School, sir." Ohh it's great, very great school.
"You know how I get here boy? I get here from a wagon full of wooden table and chairs." Alright, that's make sense. He pours some milk and cereals to the table, I mean the wooden plate. "This plate looks great man, the wooden one." I'm being serious about this one, this one is fabulous. I feel a little cold, so I wrap myself with a blanket he has on his sofa. "Let me take a look outside. You probably has a writer block on you, man," I said. "What is a writer block, sir?" He's now being curious. "When you can't write your own story." I said. "No, it's very complicated," I talk to myself. "What's the matter, Tony?" He asks. The air keeps getting tightens, I can't even barely write now. His wooden floor feels nice, and quite great. The way I talk is not the way I really want to talk, but it's nothing more than I want to make myself believe I can do it. "Do you trust me, man?" I start questioning myself, but through him. "Of course, I trust you," he said it with conviction. "Wait, what?" It starts happening again, I'm being frozen. I'm not used to have this kind of problem. I'm hungry, but it's not the same kind of hunger. Which people I really trust now? I ask myself again. "Knock, knock," someone knocks the door. "Come in," I said, still with frozen body. It's the same old man from before. I rarely build new connection, but probably I can get some insight from him. "Hello, old man," I ask politely. "Hello young men, must be a hard time you get around here." He talks as if he already knows what happen inside. "I don't think I deserve your help," I talk to him with my eyes still on the floor. "Neither do I," he responds with calm voice. "Why?" Josh asks. "All these years I keep waiting for any people I can help with. The one I can have any kind of soulful interactions, but here is different." I don't think something special happens around here. Only me, and Josh which I try to bring back the memories we have together back in the day. "Let me bring back all of your memories," this man seems sick. "Sam, come here, kid," it's the same teenager there. I don't feel scared since I have nothing to lose. "Sorry the way I behave before at that bar," I said, with calm voice but sincere. "It's fine, man," Sam smiles brightly. The same smile I have when I was 14, with those dream I have. I thought I can get it all later on faster or slower than it should be. "Would you let me stay in?" The old man asks for permission. "Of course you can," I accept both of them. Maybe we can trust each other. To bring back my memory, and Josh as well. Two persons with different reasons of forgetting something. Something that really matters.
