Dino reads a reply to his comment on Facebook. "Have we met before? It s Mary whom Dino is referring to. He is telling to her that they were classmates in high school. Then they met again when they went to college. Mary cannot recall thinking that it is too long ago. As they continue their communication she learned Dino lost his wife forty years ago and they had two children who are not living with him. Sometimes Dino confides about his illnesses and Mary responds on how he could treat them. They also talk about spiritual matters on how to deal withe the present day problems. Dino is very articulate about the contents of the Bible and the beginning of Creation that coincides to his profession as a Doctor of Medicine. How much deliberation he would put on about the 10 Commandments why people and the church yes even the church say it is no longer applicable at the present age. Mary refutes his stand knowing the 10 Commandments is being used as a guideline to follow God's way of life. Mary's mother started to train Mary to pray infront of their altar every Sunday to venerate a wooden statue of Jesus Christ carrying His heavy cross. Every Sunday candles are lighted the whole day . It is her mother's pledge to do this every Sunday telling her that she is showing gratitude to Jesus having healed her from her serious illness. She learns her mother was a former schoolteacher when the United States brought English teachers to her country the Philippines. Her mother is one of the pioneer English teachers although she is only a high school graduate. Dino didn't mention much about his parents but himself. He said ,His school daily allowance in those days came from the sales of newspapers. His toys were homemade. The toy cart came from recycled milk cans. Most topics Dino presented to Mary is about his beliefs asking why people don't read the Bible and government officials are not religious as they plunder the nation's coffer. He mentions names of his friends who gave up their lucrative jobs just to follow what they are supposed to do to help the poor joining medical groups and give free medical services and free medicine to those who live in remote areas. Dino used to say he is impressed about Mary's comments to his musings. Occasionally Mary share messages on how to maintain his health complete with physical exercise appropriate to his age. She read the words "thanks or even "my pleasure". She is flattered and fantasize if there is something that will happen between them in the future. How come Dino not miss to send messages to her every week? She answers him right away. She remembers he asked him to message her on Story so nobody can read her message to him . In which Dino followed. One time his topic is about the change of relationship between a man and a woman. Why divorce is the norm of a husband and wife not following the marriage vows of living together till they die, one of them may go ahead or vice versa, Mary has written ,it all started when they didn't follow the command of God not to eat the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. When Eve has eaten ,It is too late for Adam to retract especially it is already in his throat which is stuck there. God is very angry to them telling the consequences of what they committed. It became the downfall of man today pointing each other who is to blame. Eve is suffering and undergo to the extreme pain during childbirth and carrying the babies in her womb who maybe a boy or a girl. Men must take care, love and be kind to their wives. This is the point where men have to remember and refrain to hurt and abuse women. They have to remember men came from the womb of a woman. At the same time men must provide the needs of his family which is the instruction of God to him driving them away from the Land of Paradise God has put them. However it is not an absolute punishment for them. God has promised , if men follows His 10 Commandments that means they are living in His Righteousness He will give them abundant blessings. His Son Jesus taught men how to pray which is the Lord's Prayer a very simple one to follow. First is to call God in heaven and praise His name. Believe His kingdom is coming and His will be done on Earth and in heaven. Here is the most important thing men must have to put in his mind. God provides only the daily bread of men. It is His promise. What if God gives more than what he needs? This is now called abundance. Something men can share to others especially the poor. Men see the poor as a burden to them. Is it not God provides everything? Why can't men share his blessings to others? It is mere greediness keeping everything for himself. If men follow God Planet Earth must have been a better place to live. The rich throw many away that poor people scavenge the mountain of trash in exchange of their health. Are these food trash really help them? Maybe. How can the rich live when they see these people around? Dino is impress what Mary's interpretation about the Daily Bread embodied in the Lord;s Prayer. Lately Mary has noticed Dino didn't acknowledge her messages. Maybe he is sick. How come when he could send his messages to his story for Mary? Mary's consolation is at least he sends his messages regularly. Then Mary has to inform that she is visiting the Philippines next year, in eight months time from Italy living there as a resident. Dino's answer is like a thunder blow to her. He is not agreeable at all. His message to Mary "Why not, donot waste your ticket". Mary is expecting Dino is excited and they can meet to see each other. Mary didn't let Dino felt her disappointment. She has continued to express her opinions about his topics. She let him know she is already in the country by writing his messages about the temperature which is too hot for her compared to the temperature in Italy. Mary is expecting Dino to call her and set a date to see each other. For the whole month her expectations has not happened at all. After her vacation she decided she will no longer share her thoughts again and back to be total strangers again.GP
