**Congratulations, you have now been exposed to the first ever completed novel done by moi. I wrote this when I was, like, seven, and at the time I was so proud of myself - but apparently I didn't know any sound effects existed other than sighing, and the amount of commas I had to remove to make this readable isn't even funny. There are still way too many.

No words have been changed, only a few grammatical mistakes (but not all) and some misspellings. I also apparently had no clue how money or distance worked. Seven year old me would be freaking out to think that her writing would be posted on any sort of public platform for other's to read.

Mini Me, this one's for you**

Chapter 1

It was a bright sunny day - perfect for a catnap! At least, that was what Kiki thought.

Kiki was a mischievous mixed-breed kitten, like other cats she hated water, she also hated dogs. But unlike other cats, when her owner left for the day Kiki didn't just sit around and do nothing - she was going to go on missions around the world! She hadn't gone on any yet, though. Kiki yawned sleepily. She climbed itno her bed, lay down, and just as she closed her eyes she heard a loud "buzz". Her eyes shot open.

"Buzz" there it was again! It took Kiki a minute to realize that it was just the oven timer. Last night Kiki's owner had been making a custard pie for her birthday. Kiki sighed, a good nap interrupted for nothing!

"Just a minute!" came a muffled voice from the bedroom, then Kiki's owner came from the bedroom and opened the oven. "Guess what? I made custard pie!" she said as she sliced the pie into eight slices. She glanced at the clock and sighed, "I better get going." She said as she grabbed an apple and headed out the door. After a couple of seconds she poked her head in the door and said "See you later, Kiki!" and with that, she was gone.

As Kiki watched her go excitement bubbled up inside her chest because she knew that any time now the alarm would go off, signaling that it was time for a mission.

"Kiki!" called Kiki's friend Buddy, who was a very forgetful little chihuahua. Now remember when I told you that Kiki hated dogs? Well that wasn't entirely true.

Kiki jumped onto the windowsill. "What?" she mewed. She looked down and there was Buddy; covered in mud with a ball in his mouth. "Do you want to go to the park and play?" "Sorry, I can't" was her reply. "Oh, ok," said Buddy, and with that, he took off.

Just then Kiki heard the alarm go off, signaling that it was time for a mission. She ran over to her cat bed and dug around in the blanket until she found it: a small device that sent her all arounf the world. Kiki picked it up in her teeth, carried it over to the counter, pressed the button, she closed her eyes, held her breath, and waited....

Chapter 2

When Kiki opened her eyes - and let out her breath - she was in a clearing, surrounded by trees. Strange bird calls echoed all around her, monkeys swung on vines, a tiger stood lapping up water in a nearby stream - she was in the jungle! Kiki was excited, she had always wanted to go to the jungle!

Maybe I will see a caiman, she thought, or maybe a snake, or even a lemur! "Pay attention!" She reminded herself gently, "You are on a mission, and that requires attention!"

Then, Kiki heard footsteps - someone was coming! Kiki ran and hid in a bush. Just then, two men walked out of the shadows. One of them was tall, and he looked strong. The other one was short, he didn't look as strong.

"Just imagine how much money we can make out of all those little animals!" Said the tall one. Kiki gasped, this didn't sound good at all! "Yeah, we're going to be rich!" replied the short one. Kiki shifted her weight, a branch cracked - snap! Kiki held her breath, she was sure she would be discovered.

"Quiet!" whispered the tall one, "but I thought-"Shhhhhh!" interrupted the tall one, "Humph!" mumbled the short one. "I heard something!" said the tall one, he glanced around nervously. "Do you think someone followed us?" asked the short one - then Kiki's shiny collar gave her away.

The tall one laughed. "Ha! Not someone, something!" he picked Kiki up by the scruff of her neck. "Meow!" she mewed.

"Its a cat?" said the short one, sounding surprised. "Yep, sure is!" the tall one said, he took a good look at Kiki. "A beauty too!" he laughed, "She looks like shes worth, well, about ten dollars, so if we can double that..." He did the math in his head. "Twenty dollars!" he said happily as he slapped the short one on the back. Then the phone rang, he put Kiki in a cage and said, "See you later, kitty cat!" he pulled his phone out of his pocket and said, "Hello, boss? Sorry, boss. Won't happen again boss, yes boss, see you later, boss." he gestured to the short one and climbed into the truck, and they drove away.

Chapter 3

This was Kiki's chance to escape! She looked around, hoping to see something that could help her get out... nothing.

Just then Kiki saw a key lying on the ground. One of them must have dropped it! she thought to herself as she reached out her paw, just out of reach! Then she noticed a branch not far from her cage, she picked it up and used one of its branches to grab it, "Gotcha!" she mumbled as she picked it up and stuck it into the keyhole, it fit!

Kiki stepped out and looked around; she noticed four other cages - two cobras hissed angrily, a gorilla sat shredding a piece of leaf, and a tiger was taking a nap.

Kiki took a step back as the tiger yawned, revealing two rows or sharp teeth. Kiki sighed. She put the key into the gorilla's keyhole, the gorilla looked at Kiki. "Thank you!" it said, it climbed out of its cage, took one last look at Kiki, and left. Kiki opened the cobra's cage, they just slithered into the bushes and out of sight.

Kiki sighed. "Not so much as a thank you!"

The tiger had woken up and was watching Kiki, she took a deep breath and walked over. "Hello," she said, still keeping an eye on the tiger. It just growled. "They stole my cubs!" "Who?" asked Kiki, "Don't act like you don't know!" it said angrily. "They! Those men!"

"Oh, I'm sorry," replied Kiki. She unlocked the cage. "There, now you can get out!" the tiger didn't move, it just stared at Kiki as if it was staring right through her. It sighed and stood up. Kiki gulped and took a step back - the tiger's paws were huge!

It walked out. "My name's Tasha. What's yours?" it asked. "I'm Kiki, nice to meet you!"

Then Kiki heard a car's engine - the men were coming back!

"Hurry!" cried Kiki. "Get out of here while you still can!" "What about you?" "You just go!" Kiki replied. "I'll be alright!"

Tasha didn't move.

Chapter 4

A car soon came into view. Tasha still didn't move, instead she sat down.

"They are coming!" cried Kiki. Tasha still didn't move, instead she smiled, "I will see my cubs soon." she said, the car got closer.

"Yes, you will. But only if you get out of here!" whispered Kiki. Tasha sighed, she walked into the jungle. "Thank you. Will I ever see you again?" she asked. "I don't think so," Kiki said.

Just then the car pulled into the clearing - they were back!

Tasha took one last look at Kiki, and disappeared into the forest. Kiki sighed, she was on her own. She had to get out of here! As soon as she turned to run away, a rough hand grabbed her, "Oh no you don't!" said a voice. "Hey, Steve? Didn't there used to be animals in there?" asked the short one. "Of course, Bob!" said Steve. "Why do you ask?" "Well, it just so happens that the cages are empty." replied Bob.

"What?!" roared Steve, he dropped Kiki, this was her chance to escape! While they were still distracted she turned to run into the woods, she got about five feet away before she was spotted. "Hey, come back here!" cried one of them. The two men started to chase KIki - she had to run faster! she spotted a gap in the trees just big enough for her to squeeze through, she shot through the gap and got another five feet away, she spotted a cliff right in front of her! She gasped and skidded to a stop, there was no bridge, she was trapped! Maybe she could jump, it wasn't very far across, but it was a VERY long way down. Maybe she couldn't jump? No, she had to!

Just as she was about to jump she heard a crackle, then a loud pop! she turned around and there was Buddy!

"What are you doing here?" cried Kiki.

"Umm... well, I went in your house to see if you had changed your mind about the park, and you weren't there so I decided to look in your room, when you weren't there either I heard some sort of alarm coming from a little black box thing, I pushed a button, and the next thing I know I'm right here!"

Kiki sighed. "How about you help me get across?" she looked at the little chihuahua impatiently. "Would that bridge over there help?" he asked.

"What bridge?" said Kiki. "That one over there - don't you see it?" Buddy said.

"Oh Buddy, you're a GENIUS!" Kiki exclaimed.

Chapter 5

"Thanks, what is a genius?" Asked Buddy, Kiki sighed, "Never mind, lets just get to that bridge!" the two friends started sprinting towards the bridge, they were half way there when they heard footsteps coming towards them.

Kiki pulled Buddy behind some bushes. "Hey! What was that for-"SHHHHHH! Be quiet!" Kiki said as quiet as she could. Just then the two men walked out of the bushes.

"You're sure you heard something?" one asked, "Positive." The other answered. "Let's go look over there by those banana trees." "Okay."

As the two men walked away, Kiki saw their chance to escape. She started to creep slowly towards the bridge, and motioned for Buddy to do the same. When they finally reached the bridge, a plan started to form in Kiki's mind.

"Let's head back - I have an idea!"

"Umm... well," Buddy started.

"What, Buddy? What is it?"

"It will be hard with those two men blocking the exit."

Kiki whirled around to see the men blocking the exit.

"Hey, look! Its our cat! And she's with a dog!" Steve exclaimed. "Steve, maybe we should head b-b-b-back now," Bob replied. "Why would you say that?" "L-l-l-look!" Bob said, pointing, the taller man turned to look where the other was pointing. His face paled and he turned and ran away in record time. The other turned and did the same, calling; "Wait for meeeeeeeeee!"

Kiki turned around to see what had frightened the men. Kiki gasped - there was Tasha!

"Tasha! What are you doing here?" Kiki stammered, "I thought you had left!"

Tasha shifted uncomfortably. "I did, but then I heard a loud pop and I thought you might be hurt. So I came back to check on you but you weren't at the camp so I decided to look around, and then I saw them cornering you, and well, you know the rest." she glanced at Buddy.

"I'm Buddy. You smell funny!" Buddy exclaimed, sniffing Tasha's foot (as Buddy was obviously shorter than Tasha, it was about all he could reach!)

"Ummm, thanks?" Tasha stammered. Kiki sighed. "Come on, lets go before they come back." she said.

"Ok, I guess so, but can we come back! It was so much fun here!" Buddy exclaimed. Kiki thought for a moment. "Well, maybe someday," Kiki said "But for now have to go."

Tasha smiled. "Bye, I wouldn't want to keep you waiting." she said as she disappeared into the bushes.

Chapter 6

As Kiki led Buddy towards the camp, she saw the gorilla happily peeling a banana. The two cobras slithered towards the bushes, and Tasha sat happily lapping up water from the stream, one cub on either side of her. Tasha looked up and smiled gratefully.

Kiki smiled again as she thought bout her adventure, about all that had happened in the past few minutes.

"Kiki, look! Some sort of a time portal!" Buddy exclaimed. Kiki looked up - and sure enough there it was! Black and indigo, swirling in slow motion.

"Come on, lets go!" Said Buddy, Kiki didn't move. She was glued to the ground.

Finally she stepped towards the portal. She turned around and whispered "Goodbye, jungle."

She stood still (which was extremely hard to do with Buddy chasing her tail) she listened to the birds, singing their song of joy from high in the trees, she smiled and said "I'm ready." And the two friends walked side by side to the portal and stepped inside.

There was a whooshing sound, and a loud voice said "Well done Kiki! And- what is your name?"

"I am Buddy."

"Kiki and Buddy, you saved the animals. Good job. But I must erase your memory, Buddy, for safety." There was a soft buzzing noise, and then Buddy looked puzzled. "Where am I?" He asked. Kiki smiled. "You are at my house." She said, and at that moment the portal disappeared and the things surrounding them became normal.

A voice came from outside the door, "I'm home!" a moment later the door opened and Kiki's owner stumbled into the house. "Hello, Kiki! -Buddy? What are you doing here?" Your owner must be worried sick! Well I'll have to take you home."

A moment later she had gotten Buddy into a pet carrier (much to Buddy's dismay) and just as she reached for the door, there was a sharp knock. "Hello? Is anybody home? Helllooo?" Kiki's owner opened the door, and there was Buddy's owner! "Umm, have you seen Buddy? He ran off somewhere, and I can NOT seem to find him!" She looked puzzled. "What are you carrying?" she said.

Kiki's owner smiled.

Chapter 7

"Well, it just so happens that I was just about to head over to your place, actually. You see, I was just getting home from work, and this little man was chasing his tail on my living room floor." she said, opening he crate.

Kiki sat there patiently (and by patiently I mean meowing loudly) waiting for SOMEONE to pet her.

"Why, hello, kitty!" Buddy's owner reached down to pet her. Finally! Kiki thought.

"Well, while you are here, I made custard pie - would you like to stay and have a slice?" Kiki's owner said hopefully, "I understand if you can't, though."

Buddy's owner looked thoughtful. "Actually, I was going to head over to the post office." She paused a moment, Kiki's owner's face fell. She smiled. "But that can wait!"

A moment later, they were all seated at the kitchen table with a piece of pie in front of them. (Except for the animals).

While the people were talking about people stuff, Kiki walked over to Buddy, who was chasing his tail in a circle (having no success)

"Hi Kiki!" he said, taking a pause to make the world stop spinning. Kiki smiled.

"Buddy, lets go to the park."

Great story! It was good, whenever I wrote stories as a kid, they definitely turned out way...less than good.
