Around 300 years into the future, when everything is barely kept together and falling apart and yet getting more and more advanced in technology, we figured out how to time travel. They sent out a woman to travel these uncertain realms, who had studied black and white and all the holes and stars of the Universe.
The first few attempts failed, but eventually she had travelled at double the speed of light through the past and the future and came back… and strangely, at first, spoke no word.
Only two months later she decided to speak and said: “I may share with you some wisdom I have gathered. That wisdom will not be scientific discoveries, nor will it be how to stop climate change or other catastrophes from happening, for I discovered on my travels that if you try to change anything it will backfire immensely. I can’t even specifically tell you what timeline I erased, but I know the other one would’ve been preferrable at the end… we are not gods, we humans, but… But I can read to you, what I wrote down on my travels, and I hope, that it may change some minds, about how we operate society, and make us understand, where we went wrong, and how to make things at least a little better”
Everything and everyone around her went quiet, as quiet as it is in outer space where the vacuum of sound makes things unbearably mute, and listened intently, as she started to read:
Be outrageous- I love outrageous things. They tingle pleasantly in my mind, they churn the core of my perception, they widen the scope of what is real.
Reality is a magnifying glass when we dare. We can see the details of impossibility become possible, like when they split the atom. The atom is still called atom, despite not being inseparable. And maybe you can call it that still, because the halves are still of the same whole.
If you were to put them at the opposite ends of the universe and change one half, the other half would also be changed, despite its distance.
I think in a way many things are two are two halves of a whole. You can separate them, but you shouldn’t. We shouldn’t have with any of them. Why did we? Because it’s possible? Or because it feels impossible to let anyone think that they are a whole.
I myself am caught up with some perceptions, pretending I know what is good and what is evil even though I don’t really know and nobody does.
I believe in the principle of “My freedom ends where the freedom of the other person begins” and that would include not willfully harming people for my own freedom and willfully disrespecting their boundaries to broaden mine.
But what constitutes will? And what constitutes the boundaries?
Everything is a concept except the thing we see. The way we call things are arbitrary (except onomatopoetic things and compound words- but exceptions prove the rule as we say in my native tongue), but what we see certainly is not and it’s the only thing we can be sure of. A bee is a bee. A stone is a stone. But if its good or bad or to my liking or disliking is all a matter of perception.
What’s my point here? My point is that we are freer than we believe. And this is something I must learn myself. As I said, I am tied to made-up believes myself after a lifetime of being indoctrinated by them by my parents, by school, by the society I live in in general, my experiences etc. etc. and more.
But I do believe I might be close to understanding, that the only thing keeping me trapped is the believe that things are happening for or to me and that they are either good or bad.
I think that if I understand that things simply happen and are neither good nor bad and aren’t tied to me as a person but simply to the presence of existence and the inexplicable balance of the universe, that I can be free of the fear of judgement and the fear of dying. The primal fears of humans especially but of most life on earth as well.
I think only plants are spared of this. I don’t believe they live in indifference because its known they can sense energies and feel pain, but I do believe they are at eternal peace with the cycle of existence. They know birth, death and rebirth. The rebirth is their afterlife and their life at the same time. If you think about it, they are the only beings that know life after death- isn’t that strange?
What if we are also like plants, only that we cannot see, because our rebirth as the new plant is in a different realm we cannot see. Our souls after the death of our current physical form could be like a plant offshoot, having sunk into the earth and spread its new roots. Only that our soul puts its new roots into the fabric of the universe instead of the earth. And it grows anew somewhere else, on another planet or a star or a satellite where its needed.
That’s a nice thought but I went off track a little bit: The point was, that plants seem to be at peace with the cycle of life and the law of nature.
I clearly want to state we cannot be compared to plants and cannot be compared to other animals. Humans are different, that can’t be disputed.
To question good and evil is also not an encouragement to do terrible things to people.
The point isn’t to use the things to excuse harming one another in the terrible ways only humans can, but to heal ourselves and try to make ourselves and maybe other understand, that we are disconnected, and that is what creates all this mess and all this separation of halves that belong together.
Even though we deep down feel that something is off, because we know the rules to be one way and most of us want to be good people, we simply accept it. And I don’t think that that’s right. And I will write here one outrageous thing: That despite thinking of myself as a good person and not wanting people and other creatures come to harm, I do think we must question everything, including the things we think are good. We must come to a place where we imagine everything that is considered good is bad and everything that is bad is good. I do think that we should be free of these concepts and that we were never meant to have them. And that is because of my previous point: IF we want peace, we must stop to think of ourselves as the center of the universe. I repeat this thing I think is truth: Things do not happen to or for you. They simply happen, and you are meant to be a part of it when you are present for them.
I do think thusly that we are all important. You are important. I am important. We all are. And I do believe there are things the universe has planted in our souls to want and fulfill- and yet I know no thing I perceive as a bad deed towards me or others is a personal thing. Isn’t good or bad luck. It simply is, because that’s the way of the universe and it will always be incomprehensible to us- unless we stop pretending that we know of good and evil. That we truly know what’s right and wrong. We must lay down that human arrogance and recognize we are in no position to know the meaning behind what has created us.
That doesn’t mean I will stop to judge things by that logic, that doesn’t mean I will stop to believe in good and evil as concepts and measure actions by it. But it does mean, when I truly understand, that I will have broken my mind open like an egg and my soul will roam free like the leaking egg white and egg yolk after breaking the shell. My soul will be able to create what it wants and to be in true symbiosis with its current vessel of flesh, bone and running, red blood to truly create the life it is meant to and not fear the made-up perceptions of the world it resides in and it won’t fear when its time to leave the vessel and throw a new shoot into a different realm to spread its roots. It will accept this life as it is, in its length and in its general course and simply be within it, as it is meant to. And it will unite the halves that are meant to be a whole, showing that existence is about creation, that it is the law of life, and that destruction is only meant to be ending a cycle to be able to start a new creation. Destruction as our law of life is only trying to run from the discomfort of questioning perceptions and the pain of knowing we could always create, but not to do so out of fear of being daring.

To be at peace with these concepts one must also accept that the course of our life is like a river. I’m sure you’ve heard this analogy before, perhaps many many times even, yet I still think we don’t use it enough or when we do, we don’t really understand what it entails. Because what it entails is that you may be able to stir your boat a certain within that river, be able to navigate to where you want, but you cannot change its currents. These currents when applied outside of the analogy are the things happening outside of us and out of our reach. For example: We are, most of the time, not responsible for a war and yet it happens all the same and one or another way affects us. We can’t do anything or very little about this war. Most of the time we don’t have any power at all over it. The only power we have is how we perceive it.
I have understood the point of being able of perceiving things the way I want. I may sound ignorant to some people but deleting almost all social media and barely if ever reading any news has drastically changed how I see the world.
Everyone seems to want me to panic so that I jump overboard my boat as well-, but the issue is it’s the only boat I have, the only vessel. We all only get one in this life, and if you decide to leave it, thinking it will save someone from drowning you will only end up drowning yourself. And I truly ask you to reflect on this, ask yourself: Who benefits from your suffering? Certainly not other people suffering. They cannot do anything with your suffering because their own heads are so far below water, they can’t even see you. But what if you stay on your boat? What if you keep stirring your vessel down that current, believing that the rivers flow doesn’t stop and there will always be changing tides. Sometimes the currents are wild, but sometimes they are also calm and in shallow water. No condition ever lasts, we must be patient and see. And then, if you have not leaped overboard your only vessel, that’s how you can help the drowning people that were forced to leave or whose vessels have been temporarily destroyed.
Do you all understand what I’m telling you here?
I’m telling you this world is madness. It is mad because we believe drowning ourselves willingly will bring peace to those that were forced to drown. We believe stopping to breathe will help the dead-
Do you understand?
Let me say this in simply words: Only hope will bring hope and nothing else. If you despair over the horrors of this world and tell everyone the world is going to end, you are dis- and not encouraging. Maybe in the beginning it will bring on a fight for good but eventually people will stop to act because they’ll think “what am I fighting for? If everything’s lost anyways there is no reason to fight”- THAT is what is eventually going to happen.
No- no you must believe you are the sovereign of your vessel, of this boat going down this large river towards a beautiful sea with exiting, adventurous as well as sometimes calming currents. You are the leader of this vessel that can be an example to others that are blind to their journey. Tell them to build their boat if they don’t have one or to take up all the strength to swim ashore- or better yet: Tell them they have this strength at all!
You are NOT the water, my friend.
Yes, you should be like it, the saying is true, but you are not the water in that river, no, you are more than that; you ARE the river itself. These are your currents; the currents aren’t you. They do not define you; you define them!
And THAT is the essential difference.
I am still learning.
As I’ve started to say, I’ve gained a lot of wisdom from realizing this already. I took a lot of my power back that the overlords of this world -that want us to fight each other for profit and look away from the actual problems by being distracted and pettily angry over frivolous things- have tried to take away from me. I’ve already realized that the way I view things will significantly change how I see my entire life’s situation. It might be that nothing has changed in that moment, all the problems are still there, but somehow, I will still feel lighter knowing there is always a way instead of seeing an insurmountable agglomeration of problems. And instead of seeing myself as a victim, simply seeing myself as human, or as the captain, steering my boat and living adventures. Every struggle can technically be seen as an adventure and even as a blessing.
Again: People might call me ignorant there, but since I’ve started believing this, I’ve seen all the blessings I have because I realize every struggle is its counterpart. And most of all, I learn from them. But we can only learn from our struggles if we are open to receiving the struggle as a lesson, and not as an oppression. If we let it flow through us like a bad thought, it will ingrain in us as a stronger molecule and let us revolt against harder and harder currents each time until it feels like ease.
These were her words. What they made of it? That is to be seen…
