After the roaring success of Romance Services, the three members of Wizard Enterprises settled themselves. Jarryd was still keen on studying marketing or advertising one day, while Todd was focused on developing more new ideas to make money. He was so attractive, but kept himself aloof from teenage girly fans. Some of them had taken to following him home from secondary school, like junior groupies, but he took it in his stride.
Rochelle, on the other hand, was trying to rise above teenage emotions. She did secretly wonder if she would know when she did finally lock lips with her personal male companion, she was sure sparks would fly. In between studying all her subjects, she was also assisting in proofreading her first attempt at creative writing in book format.
She realised that her witchcrafting powers needed a lot of polishing. She had to keep practising. One day in the Advanced English classroom, Rochelle and Todd could see Jarryd through the windows. He was lining up some junior boys and selling them tickets to take flying lessons on a very mothy looking lot of brooms he had 'borrowed' from the janitor. Todd turned to Rochelle and said, "Can you cast a witchy spell on him? Have a heart, I know he is your ex, but he is my first friend here in this school."
Rochelle had been concentrating on planning her witchy cooking poem, titled "Recipe for Happiness." That had been her dog Silky's concept. It was time for free fun anyway, as the teacher had been engaged with another student.
Rochelle cast a glance at her educator, then raised her arms and spoke the grand traditional spell, "Uppity, uppity, fly all those brooms uppity!" Soon Jarryd was so happy and pleased. The brooms were taking the younger boys on joy rides around the sports area.
Then suddenly, Todd said, "I have been studying magic books too. Look at this!" He soared to the ceiling of the English class, and flew a quick spin around the room. He peered at Rochelle, and held his hand high, "Uppity, uppity, fly Rochelle uppity!" Soon the talented pair were zooming through the classroom door, and floating along to the library. It was after school time anyway.
Their English teacher looked quite puzzled, saying, "That didn't happen."But she only told them to stop showing off. It was her home time too, she was heading off for a home delivery pizza. Rochelle asked Mrs. Haggle if a wizard could be more powerful than a witch, or were wizards feeding witches such a bias? Mrs. Haggle did her own semi-float, and told Rochelle, "Don't let them get to you. There are no such things as perfect males, despite what they say. We women must be tolerant and inclusive."
Rochelle announced, "I am writing a Recipe for Happiness. Any good tips?"
Mrs. Haggle sat down again, and said, "Sprinkle kindness from your good heart wherever you go. Keep growing your talents."
"What about mine? I am flying!" Todd declared, before sinking to his usual chair, where he opened his new book on First Class Guide for Wizards.
" You two apply yourselves. I am all ears here." Mrs. Haggle smiled, very pleased at every stage in this couple of very keen magical students.
Rochelle had to concentrate on writing her creative English. She wished to mix patience, love by the heartful, understanding, with a dish of fun attitudes, and a plenty of faith. Just then, Jarryd strolled into the library, his eyes full of dollar signs. His belief in magic broomsticks training and joyride business was a delight to both the lads. His pockets, and the online account of Wizard Enterprises were boominjg, overflowing. Now the three founding members had to decide how their sudden wealth would be spent.
Jarryd and Bronte were still a hot ticket item in the school lunch hours, already to go steady. Rochelle privately thought that perfect match had been mainly due to her sensitive intuition and her sixth sense. The new loving couple of teens around the suburb were well matched in lots of ways, and both very attractive in a blond way. Sure, Jarryd had been a great kisser, but Rochelle had decided she was not missing some of Jarryd's self-talk at all. He seemed happy enough now, Bronte did not mind some of his action films, reminded her of her brothers.
Rochelle projected calm and global concern, as she suggested, whispering, "Why don't we donate some to Freedom from Hunger campaign? Cool to be kind."
Todd seemed to consider this idea. He browsed through his Wizard Guide book, and told Rochelle and Jarryd, "Here's a spell. We can produce endless food for the starving! Why hasn't anyone done this before, Mrs. Haggle?"
"It needs at least two very strong and powerful magical entities to achieve that. Plain and simple, never been achieved. Why don't you all practice it?"
Rochelle was all for that suggestion. It meant more time after school hours with Todd, and his dreamy eyes, his dark hair, always tousled. She did waste some time each day wondering what has been happening in his male brain. Todd was still dateless, and so was Rochelle. Maybe he might see her as his one, their two strong hearts could beat as one. She wondered if she should write a teenage chick lit, just for a while.
But all she said was, "Maybe start local, dream small before feeding the whole of planet Earth. Lots of people to nourish if we can."
Jarryd had a plan, "Why don't you start on the bakery, fill up its shelves when they're empty. I could do some donuts before dinner. Like always, forever love my carbs. Good for energy for homework."
"Okay, let's fly there with no brooms." Todd was a bit full of himself too.
"Come on, Rochelle, you start flying. You just gotta believe!"
She did, singing tunelessly, "I am flying!"
So the three futures of magic in the world of tomorrow flew gently in formation. The suburban bakery was empty and closing up for the day, as the three members of Wizard Enterprises stood at the front window. Todd and Rochelle raised their arms, so modern they did not need wands, uttering a spell of food enchantment.
Rochelle let Todd take the lead,
"By the power of hearth and flame,
Food and donuts, now we claim,
With yummy flour and jam too,
Sweet delights for me and you!"
Rochelle repeated the spell, and did her own witchy woman thing. The baker and his assistant looked on, amazed, as one display cabinet was instantly and magically overflowing with luscious and delectable looking donuts and cakes.
Everyone in their town were now getting used to strange witchcrafts, so the baker came to his door, and gave the members of Wizard Enterprises a large bag of treats each. The teens from their secondary school soon got the word, and the baker sold the lot.
"See ya!" Todd said, and the baker replied, "Always welcome!"
Rochelle took off, flying home awed by her own skills. Today, feed the town, tomorrow she and Todd would dream of feeding the world. When she arrived home, only Silky took any notice. Those cakes had her name on them, as Rochelle flew to the ceiling of her bedroom. Practice does make perfect witches.
