COP DIEGO'S POLICE REPORT

Diego is on his way to the police station to submit his credentials for training as a police officer. He has waited this to come applying for several times at other stations , no replies worked as a security guard while waiting and here's his chance to become a member of the police. force. He wondered why he can't be commissioned right away. His record shows to have finished a medical degree in Biochemistry ,then he applied for military training at the Canadian Armed Forces. His family attended his graduation at the military facility, the presence of his grandmother made him happy having been supportive even how far the graduation ceremony is held , a whole day drive where the occasion is held. His parents came with her as their family guardian since their real parents are all in the Philippines. Even if she is not his real grandmother she seems to be like a real one to him. With his parents two brothers, his sister she took care of them aside from her own family. After his graduation he is immediately assigned to the biggest and oldest military camp in the country.. He asked his girlfriend to come and live with him but she didn't like the camp location being too far from her family breaking up with him after six months. The call of city life beckoned her to go back to her parents to manage their family business. This caused him so much pain and heartaches. Later on he decided to leave his military service to go back to his family making his parents wonder why he didn't stay with his military service to serve the nation for freedom and security. Upon receiving his assignment Diego took his uniform from the Uniform Custodian. Arriving home his father is excited to see his uniform. "Maybe that would look nice if I wear it.." "Dad this is an official uniform. no one can wear it than me". His father commented sourly. "I know, I'm just kidding you." His mother coming from work didn't say anything keeping a setback why his son didn't practice his medical degree. Here are the issues Diego is facing at home. The next day he reported for work. His assignment is to wait for calls if a car is speeding, to chase the driver of that car and issue him a speeding traffic ticket. Not long enough to receive a call, he and his colleague step into their police car and sped right away with blinking lights and blaring horn to let other drivers out of their way. The driver of the speeding car step on his brakes to stop when he notices a police car is approaching. He showed his driver's license , car insurance handing it to Diego. His paper's are clean and this is his first offense. Diego didn't issue him a traffic ticket but warned him to be careful when driving to keep safe for himself and others. He expresses his gratitude and sped away. The two policemen returned to their station to wait another assignment. They put the driver's name on the record book. Not until after lunch when another call came in. There is a speeding car chased by two other officers , they need a back-up to intercept the speeding driver. They have to meet at a certain intersection to block the speeding driver. It took long for them to stop the driver who tried to avoid them by all means to confused them taking turns on narrow streets on his left then on his right until he is cornered. They found out he is on an auto theft, having no driver's license no fix address and no identification card. Here is one discovery of the widespread search of auto theft robbers, Diego and his colleagues has caught The stolen car is impounded , then they have to find the right owner. The robber has been interrogated to record his statements. He didn't say much. He is put inside a cell to wait for someone to bail him out. If no one will claim him he will stay there no one knows for how long. Maybe he will be transferred to a penitentiary after a few months. These robbers are paid by their boss. This is an organized crime an auto theft ring operating in many countries. It is well organized to commit this crime. Diego needs to be very careful being involved in this crime unit. To see how he can free himself to this kind of operation he decided to transfer to the private business sector. In this operation they place a surveillance video inside the store for security purposes. There have been a big heist at a jewelry store committed by robbers. A team has been organized by their division to observe and record the activity at the World Diamond Center. Their team received a tip from the owner who was robbed two years ago and the culprits has not been caught. He said he has a tip the robbers are coming back. This maybe the most dangerous assignment Diego has received. He is the lead investigator. He must choose his team members. He assigned one to work inside the jewelry store. Picking his own acquaintance Lorelei to pose as one of the store employees to look after the diamonds on display. rings necklaces, bracelets earrings and watches costing millions and millions of dollars by wholesale that's why it is targeted by robbers to steal. Diego have known Lorelei to be a good police officer. There are times when they have coffee together at the station's coffee shop, eating together, comparing notes of their work. So Lorelei is his best pick , his colleague to carry the plan to catch the robbers. She is easily hired when she applied as the jewelry assistant at the store. She immediately filled up all the requirements she is asked to submit including a personal life insurance of ten million to help her family just incase there is an untoward incident that happens to her at the store to help her family. In that case she is double compensated an additional income aside from being a policewoman. Diego is very vigilant incase Lorelei will be held captive by the robber securing all necessary precautions this is not going to happen. He has ordered three police cars and five more as backups. As usual the day to day operation went on normally, until one day there is a commotion inside. The company security guard closed the door not to allow any customer to go out. All the customers turned to become hostages of the lone rubber. The store summoned police security for protection and possibly to save lives if the robber has a gun. Entering the premises, the first thing Diego has to do is to secure Lorelei whom he knows is on duty. Diego can't locate her wondering what happened to her. One of his police officers cornered the robber raising his hands to surrender. the robber was handcuffed and they led him to the police car. He is brought to the police station for interrogation. His gun is used as his own witness in committing the crime and his bag full of jewelries, not only from World Diamond Center but two other jewelry stores. The total amount of the jewelry theft cost millions of dollars. The robber may not tell anything to the authorities that might expose the theft ring. The robber is confined at the police station to wait for someone to bail him out. The pieces of jewelry are deposited at the headquarters vault to wait for the court order what will be done to the jewelries if it will be disposed by auction. Diego went back to the store to look for Lorelei and the other customers. The customers were checked one by one to see if they have jewelries in their bags to be sure they have not pickpocketed also while the commotion is ongoing. A staff at the store, a company security guard and a cop has released them. As soon as the last customer is released they counted the store employees who came to work. Lorelei is really missing. The security guards and policemen parted ways to look for Lorelei. Diego is very much worried and concerned about her safety. The whole day has passed, Lorelei is nowhere to be found. At the headquarters bowing his head at his table , one hand leaning on his right cheek , his thoughts for Lorelei who became his girlfriend three months ago can't fathom why he totally lost contact with her. No trace about her whereabouts . The next day when he arrived at work they informed one of the policemen assigned to be at the jewelry store is also missing. The same like Lorelei they can't locate his whereabouts. Diego summarized his report how the police operation is conducted at the World Diamond Center to have been successfully accomplished preventing the whole commission of robbery , putting the culprit in jail and the jewelries are deposited in the safety vault except for two police officers, one as a store employee and the other who is involved in the operation submitted an indefinite leave of absence just after the police operation has been accomplished. This has caused Diego the heaviest blow in his entire life losing his cherish love unexpectedly.GP
