YOOOO Its Rudy again heehe. And this time I got a BETTER cliff hanger! HAHAH sooo no more I think? lol.
Um bye? For now? Idk. Bye. Stop pestering me now. I have bigger plans for my babies.
-_-
eheheheheheheeehehhehh enjoy.
Rudy woke up to his twin screaming and yelling at him (The usual).
“WAKE UP! WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE!!!”
Rudy groaned and rolled off his bed into the floor with a “thud.”
“And if you're late? My last name is late! Did you not set your alarm? Again? This is the tenth time!” Ruby snarled, throwing clothes on his bed.
“Of course I didn’t forget to set it. I just didn’t want to.” muttered Rudy, squeezing his eyes shut.
“Get. Up.”
“Ughhh fine!”
Rudy leaped up and hurried to the bathroom to brush his fangs.
“And straighten your whiskers this time.” Ruby called after him.
Rudy sighed. He liked his whiskers the way they were! And he was totally capable of choosing his own outfit but Ruby would never let him.
When Rudy looked in the mirror, his frown turned upside down. He loved his messy self.
He smirked, flashing his fangs.
His red-orangish ears (with black on the back) matched his bedhead spikey red hair perfectly.
His left ear, (his favorite ear), twitched while he tried (and failed) to straighten his whiskers.
By the time he clumped downstairs everyone was waiting, impatiently, for him.
“Rudy!” Rosie yelped, running to hug him.
Rudy squeezed her back. “Morning sunshine.”
Rosie was the youngest of the three and was quiet and shy, totally opposite of her older siblings.
Ruby rolled her eyes, pulled Rosie away, and pressed down the folds of Rosie’s pelted skirt which got ruined when she hugged Rudy. “Can we go? We're going to be late!”
“Sheeeesh. I just got down here.”
Ruby tossed him a boiled egg while muttering something like, “Why do I have to deal with these monsters?”
Rudy caught the egg and tossed it in his mouth. “Mmmmm delish.”
Rosie giggled silently and pulled on her sparkly rose colored backpack.
Ruby growled and headed outside.
As they walked to school Ruby talked about her future shopping trip with her bestie, Cherry (Apricot’s sister), asking occasional questions like, “Do you think yellow would look good on me?” while Rosie nodded furiously.
Rudy had zoned out and was staring at all the strong trees around them. When you climbed one, you could see everything and it's so peaceful up there! Nature was so pretty and relaxing.
If you just close your eyes you could almost feel the breeze and-
BAM!
Rudy could almost see birds circling his head.
Hood groaned. “Every. Single. Time!”
Ruby sighed. “Rudy, watch where you’re going. You don’t want to pass around the stupid disease.”
Rosie gasped, pulled her hood on and started inching away.
Goldie frowned and helped both boys up.
“He’s not stupid Ruby. And if you can’t see that, then you’re stupid.” Apricot snapped, her curly apricot colored hair was pushed up with a pink head band (Probblay from Goldie).
“It’s a shame your own sister, Cherry, can’t fix you.” Ruby shot back her whiskers twitching.
“She doesn’t need fixing!” Goldie said, with her ears pinned back, defending her bestie.
While the girls fought Rudy looked at Hood.
“What.” Hood said, even though he wasn’t looking at Rudy (he was fixing his outfit) he felt his eyes on him.
“Nothing.”
Finally Cherry came in (out of nowhere) and dragged Ruby away saying, “Stop wasting your time talking to these losers.”
Apricot coughed to break the silence that followed.
“Are you okay?” Goldie asked Hood, reaching to smooth out his hair.
Rudy wanted to grab her arm and stop her but he just looked away.
“Yep!” Hood replied, flashing his famous smile.
Goldie giggled then turned to Rudy.
“Rudy…”
“It wasn’t my fault!”
Goldie stopped. “What? No. I wasn’t going to say it was. I was about to say it’s a shame you have to live with Ruby. And Apricot, Cherry.”
“Oh. It is what it is.” Rudy said, looking at the ground. He needed to change the subject. He didn’t like talking about his problems and flaws. Only to himself. He needed to lighten the mood.
“Sooooooooooooooooooooo……….fancy bumping into yah. What’s good.” Rudy said to Hood.
Hood smirked. “The usual. Bumping into psychos, seeing my lady and being late to class.”
Rudy gritted his teeth behind his smile while Goldie giggled and playfully pushed Hood.
“Well…I don’t want to be late. Sooooo…” Apricot frowned with a raised eyebrow.
“Okay…bye Hood!” Goldie called, linking arms with Apricot.
Rudy and Hood saw Apricot nudge Goldie.
"Andddd Rudy??" Apricot whispered.
“Oh yeah and Rudy too. Hehe.” Goldie added nervously.
As soon as the girls left Rudy growled at Hood.
“Woaw woaw. Calm down! What’d I do?” asked Hood innocently, picking up his bag and walking away.
“You know what you did. And what you're always doing. Hey, get back here! I’m talking to you!” Rudy called following him.
“What? You mean shooting hearts and flashing my smile? Is there something against smirking?” Hood asked while blowing a kiss to a girl walking past.
“Is there anything wrong?? THAT’S ABSOLUTE BONKERS!”
“Hey it’s not MY fault girls are attracted to me. And besides I don’t even like all of them but Goldie. Goldie is the lucky one.” Hood smirked.
That was it.
Rudy transformed into his fox form, a Red fox, and pounced on Hood.
Hood responded back by turning into his form, a Swift fox.
The boys tackled each other and rolled around the ground.
“Get. Off.” Hood snarled.
“I’m not stopping until you stop.”
“You know I’m not going down without a fight.”
The boys were so engrossed they didn’t notice Fern (one of Goldie's other friends) run to get a teacher.
Rudy snapped at Hood’s ear just as he rolled out of the way.
“What big ears you have.” Rudy said, balancing himself.
“Only the better to hear you with!” Hood smirked, bopping Rudy with his fluffy tail. “Though I wish I didn’t have to.”
Rudy opened his mouth to reply but a teacher interrupted him.
“BOYS!”
Mrs. Francesca (Fern’s mother who taught) yelled, making both boys freeze.
Rudy and Hood transformed back into their human forms and scrambled off of each other, awkwardly standing two feet away (with Mrs. Francesca in between and Fern behind her) with lowered heads to the ground.
“Someone needs to explain what I was witnessing.” Mrs. Francesca demanded with a frown.
“I was minding my own business when-out of nowhere!-Hood pounced on me!” Rudy started.
Hood scowled. “Lair. You pounced on me first. I was just leaving to go to class.”
“Yeah but I wouldn’t have pounced on you if you didn’t say that thing about Goldie.”
Mrs. Francesca held up her hand to interrupt them. “I don’t care who started it. That behavior is unacceptable. Both of you should know that. If this happens again I will be talking with you parents Rudy.
“Yes ma’am.” Rudy said grimacing. “Wait why mine and not his also?”
Mrs. Francesca smiled at Hood. “Because I know Hood has a good heart and wouldn’t be losing his mind like some fox I know. And his parents would probably cuss me out.”
Fern laughed and Hood smiled gratefully.
“Thank you. It won’t happen again.” Hood bowed.
Rudy sighed and bowed too. “Yes. Thank you.”
“Now get to class before the next bell!!! Fern, go, so you don’t miss Slyness 101.”
Fern nodded and watched her mom walk away to continue teaching.
“Sorry but I had to do something before any of you lost an ear.” Fern said quietly fidgeting with her claws.
“It’s okay. You did good.” Hood smiled reassuringly.
“Now we have to finish this somewhere else!” Rudy pouted.
“Nah, I'm going to class. I’m not wasting my time and I’m not that much of a slacker. Besides, we both know it’s not over. You’ll never stop fighting.” Hood pulled his skateboard out of his bag and hopped on.
“Why would I give up?”
“Because it’s hopeless.” Hood smirked before pushing off. “See you later alligator.”
“After a while. Crocodile.” Rudy muttered. He knew this fight was only one out of many and Hood would keep on insulting him so long as he lost their “game.” He needed a real game changer. Or at least make a move, even if he never won.
“Fern, what is something Goldie always wanted but could never have?”
Fern frowned. “Rudy, you should know this. But there's nothing any fox can do about it! Not even Ms. Z (Goldie’s mom) can do anything about it-except make it worse. So whatever you're planning is not going to go well.”
“Fine. But there IS one thing I can do-that’s NOT connected to that.”
“What?” Fern asked curiously.
Rudy smiled suspiciously. “Who does Goldie trust the most? Other than her mom of course.”
“Apricot. Duh.”
“Exaclty.”
“Wait, what are you going to do? Rudy come back. Rudy. Rudy! Rudy!!!”
