Kevin was just your typical everyday, All American Bachelor. That's how he would describe himself. He was a simple guy, lived a simple life. The usual, you know; go to work, hit the gym, spend time with family and friends. He dated around but just for fun, nothing serious. Most people would call Kevin "a good guy". That's how Kevin saw it. But Kevin claimed to be known for his honesty so he wasn't afraid to admit that by 28 years old he'd experienced a couple heartbreaks and ran into a few 'crazies' during his time as a young attractive bachelor. So not everyone may see him as a good guy.

Dating was tricky nowadays. Kevin leaned into the metal table with his hands clenched together in front of him. "You know the 'crazies' are pretty much unavoidable" said Kevin, who was struggling to make eye contact with Detective Fugler.

"Nah" Fugler replied, holding his ring finger up to show off his wedding band. "Got married fresh outta high-school, never been on a date. How bout you tell me about the craziest 'crazy' you've ever encountered?" Fugler sat smiling with his arms folded.

Kevin lifted his head, "well it would probably be the one Im here for today" he replied. "Jennifer Barry" stated Fugler. "Yea, her. I called her Ivy. That was her username on the Dating app I met her on. 'Poisonivy333' to be exact" Kevin exclaimed. "We didn't date long. Hooked up 2 or 3 times but mostly texted each other on the app. We just didn't match, she liked starting arguments and would say weird stuff that made no sense. So I just started ignoring her. "What did she say that was weird?" Fugler questioned.

"She would send the same message everyday; "we don't have time for this" always ending with 333. She had a weird obsession with 3s" Kevin replied.

"Did she ever tell you why or what it meant" Fugler inquired. Kevin sighed, clearly getting agitated. "I don't know. She was delusional a real weirdo. I just assumed she was one of those astrology chicks;obsessed with the moon and numbers. I told you, I got annoyed with the meaningless messages and blocked her back in August. It was just a summer fling that I wish never happened. Haven't seen or heard from her since. You have all the evidence you need, it wasn't me. Im not your guy" Kevin assured him.

Fugler leaned in closer. "Well Kev you're right; we do have the evidence we need. But your story isn't matching the evidence. If you haven't seen her since August why are you on camera leaving her home last Thursday? Today is December the 3rd buddy.... Kevin was prepared. "There's cameras at my apartment complex also, did you check those? Clearly you would see I didn't leave my home at all last Thursday" Kevin snapped back.

"Alright, now Kev; we gotta get serious now" warned Fugler. "We've been here since yesterday evening. We don't have time for this. The rest of your life is on the line here bud. Im trying to help you. Im not new to this. Do you think I woul... "Wait" Kevin interrupted.

"Okay; there's something else I didn't tell you cause it sounds crazy but Im being honest. This will prove that it wasn't me."

"Well get crazy Kevin, nothing shocks me much anymore, I'm all ears " Fugler replied.

"It was early September, I can't remember the exact date, probably the 3rd." Kevin chuckled. Fugler flashed a smile in return. "Yea so it had to be September 3rd. Because I had to leave work early. And I clocked out at 3:33am. I suddenly caught a fever and a headache that just wouldn't go away." Kevin started to show more confidence as it was easier now to look Detective Fugler in his eyes.

"When I got to my apartment complex I pulled up beside a uhaul truck that was being unloaded. I thought it was a bit odd at the time for someone to be moving in that late at night. But I was too sick to care. I could barely walk to my home without stumbling. When I walked past the uhaul truck, and saw the man who was unloading it, I was left in shock to see how much this guy looked like me. Same haircut, same height, same complexion, same build." Fugler looked unimpressed. "So you gotta twin? Did you guys happen to have on the same clothes, on the 3rd day in September too? And at what point do you speak your recent activity, you know like 3 days ago? Fugler teased.

"You said get crazy and I'm trying to tell the truth of how this thing began" Kevin clapped back. Anyway it's called a doppelganger, I don't have a twin. When I walked past him we locked eyes for a moment, then I did a friendly nod and rushed to my apartment. When I got in I went straight to sleep and had nightmare. Ivy was in it. I saw her in a graveyard. She had on a black cloak and was bent over aggressively digging in the dirt and chanting. I called her name as I walked toward her. She stood up and spun around. She had a creepy smile on her face. Her teeth were all rotten and bloody. Her eyes were pitch black and bleeding. She was carrying a mason jar filled with dirt, insects, and snakes. She reached the jar out towards me and said 'get in here Kevin, we don't have time for this'

"Then I woke up sweating at 3:33am."

Detective Fugler couldn't help but laugh "Your ability to time travel should be studied my friend" Fugler joked.

"Don't you see it's no coincidence, I started to research the number 333 and doppelgangers. I learned that seeing your doppelganger is a bad omen for death or grave illness. And witches do their rituals at specific times. She was cursing me but it backfired when I became aware of what she was doing and didn't speak to the doppelganger she sent" exclaimed Kevin.

"Everything went back to normal but on 3rd of every month leading up till today; at 3:33am I would get sick, have nightmares of her, and ironically that's the only time I'd cross paths with my doppelganger who moved in the the apartment directly across from me. Get this, Kevin asserted himself. The apartment he moved into is apartment 3."

Detective Fugler shrugged his shoulders and sighed. "Kevin nobody has lived in apartment 6 in 8 months according to management and your neighbors."

"I said apartment 3 not 6. 333 that's the witch's number." Kevin corrected him.

"No Kevin. I said apartment 6 cause you live in apartment 3, you been living there for over 3 years now. The apartment across from yours is vacant" Fugler exclaimed.

"Now son i gotta ask you, how's your mental health? You been checking up on that lately?" Fugler questioned.

Kevin shook his head with anxiety and cried out "Don't you see, it wasn't me. She put a curse on me and it backfired, the doppelganger killed her not me!!!"

"That's enough Kevin." Fugler said sternly. Kevin was now sweating and hyperventilating. "It wasn't me! Check the cameras, read the messages" Kevin cried out.

Detective Fugler stood up. "Kevin we have enough evidence to charge you with the murder of Jennifer Barry. I tried to give you give you a chance to tell your side of the story but now we don't have time for this. Kevin jumped up screaming as 3 police officers came in the room cuffed him and dragged him away as he cried out. "It wasn't me.
