IN THE HOSPITAL

“Your son is suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, it is a deadly disease, it is very rare currently and all I can say it will be difficult to find the cure, I am sorry to say he has only 15 years to live”, Doctor Chen was explaining to both parents. The mother stood up and wanted to leave, her husband hold her hands and asked her, “where are you going?”

“I am leaving you for good, I should have just listen to my parents when they insisted not to get married to you see now our son has du... Chhh... Whatever and we are still poor, so let go of my hand, by the way you can just throw the child away incase he will be a burden”.

What are you saying you can't just abandon our child just because he is sick?

The mother replied, "sorry to say but Iam still young, I can't waste my beauty to look after this child and this poor family, in fact good luck treating him.

The mother left, the father was crying and the doctor couldn't do anything just watching.

3 YEARS LATER........

The child is now in kindergarten. In the morning that day the father made pasta for his child ,Vincent,

It's okay child you just have to stay happy and let dad solve everything okay, then he took him to school and bid a loving farewell.

Vincent went to class, very stunning and happy, he is always very happy as long as his father is with him. In class he listened attentively to the teachers, he was teachers’ favourite but not the students for they felt jealous for him.

During the break Vincent wanted to fetch drinking water from the school’s kitchen on his way back he met two mean boys his long time enemies.

“Oh Vincent!! Do not forget that you are sick and you can never have friends so don't get all happy and high , hear us!!!”

“Don't come close”, Vincent shouted at them while crying.

“What will you do to us, you are just a pathetic child with no mother, see even your mother left you to die” the mean boys said.

The boys started pushing Vincent, well Vincent fought back but because of his disorder he felt all dizzy, he then fell from the first floor when they were fighting and fainted.

The boys ran away cause they did not want to be held responsible. The people around ran to help Vincent and they rushed him to the hospital he was bleeding from his hospital when his father heard this he also rushed to the hospital where Vincent was taken. The father was informed that the son has paralyzed and it will take almost 10 years to get back to normal.

The father got all angry and cried a lot day and night, meanwhile the two mean boys were caught by the principal, and they were expelled from school.

Within those 10 years it was the most painful to the dad, he could visit the son and talked to him with no replies, he kept telling the child, “you have to survive, you have to make a comeback!!”

Within those years he saved a lot of money for his son.

And Ta-da!! With the fighting spirit of the son, he made it back in less than 10 years. Sad thing is that he couldn't go back to school, cause he has lost many years of schooling, so he stayed at home volunteering different events.

One day they sat at the living room, and the father asked Vincent, “Vincent, my dear, I was very worried that you will never get healed and you will eventually die,thank you for coming back to dad,

It's okay dad we shall solve everything together, always remember okay.

But Vincent son it won't be good staying with me all day, you should also do something that you like. What do you like doing”

I like singing dad, maybe I should try that.

The next day he went to the company where it supports new stars, The superstar company.

“Excuse me sir, can I help you?”, the receptionist asked.

Yes, please, may I meet the head of this company, Mr. Son, Vincent answered.

The receptionist arrogantly replied, “It might be your first time that you do not know the rules here, first, boss does not have time for nobodies like you, he has to meet big stars.

Second, in case you are very important you can just request an appointment.

So for now I advice you meet with the manager”.

Vincent felt very humiliated and decided to live....

A voice in the background was heard, “hello young man may I guess that you are asking for me, what's the matter?”

“Nothing important sir, I just heard you are nurturing young talents, so I came to try my luck, Vincent replied”.

Boss then said, “Yes, of course, and you are in the right place. Let's start by strengthening your voice and improving your breath. And yes tomorrow at eight o'clock in the morning you are presenting your original song”.

From there he started working on his new career, he joined different singing contest and he gained a lot of fame it is only natural if it is a true talent. He is both national and international star always born to shine. He build a very big mansion and lived the two of them who cared for each other for a long time.

For the mother, she could not live a better life than her son, she kept pushing people away from her even though they care about her, she felt she doesn't deserve people, she forgot one thing that we all we don't fully deserve each other, but we still need each other...
