BREAKING UP

Marriage is the the union of a man and a woman to live together in one roof leaving their parents to raise their own family. It started when God created them as a male and female in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve are the first parents who started the human race and inhabited the Earth and classified into white yellow brown and black race according to the color of their skin. The two opposite sex , male and female has the tendency to attract each other and develop an intimate relationship when the sperm of the man unites with the egg of the woman inside her body and become a fetus then after nine months he/she is born to be a baby. Women has carried humans in their wombs and they are called mothers and the men is called the father. It came to be when a Deceiver disturb their tranquil and peaceful life when Eve adversely committed the most horrible and perpetual mistake allowing the Deceiver the enemy of God to tempt her and eat what God prohibited her to eat and convinced Adam to do the same. This is where the controversy lies between the two ,who is going to be blame , whose fault which is going on until today. The decision of God to drive them out from the Land of Paradise put the man and woman into the dangers of living when God declared to Adam that he can live by the sweat of his brow including his family. and to Eve who will suffer the pains of childbirth which has caused too much suffering including pain sickness sorrow and abject poverty. This is the dilemma of the human race impose by God. Then God set rules to be followed by His people. It was written on a stone tablet which is God's 10 Commandments. One of them is the emphasis not to commit adultery. That a man and a woman united in matrimony states "No one can separate or break their union in marriage". When a man and a woman recites their marriage vows during a wedding ceremony they make a promise to cherish each other in sickness or in health , for richer or poorer till the end of life by either one of them. As time goes by there is a point of breaking up of that vow when family problems arises in raising a family. Family is very important to God. He wants all His people to become His family. Family disintegration is a contradiction to God's plan that men will reign with Him in His coming kingdom. Man is not doing what God wants him to do, to work and provides the needs of his family even if God has promise to provide his needs. The same thing to the woman not to submit to her husband but wanting to take over the role of man as head of the family becoming the center of friction. Typically after marriage this is what happens. When Marlon married Herminia in the church where they attended both sides of their family are excited expecting to have an heir to their family booming business. Herminia choose to become a plain housewife and take care in the rearing of their two children. Marlon manages their business diligently. He envisions to acquire more properties and gave Herminia the blanket authority to look after their children. With the daily chore Herminia find it very boring to be at home only to supervise the house helpers and their gardeners. She tried to join a Ladies Group in their neighborhood to raise funds for the needy which required less time for her two children. Marlon didn't mind at first then he learned Herminia is called to the principle's office. She learned her daughter Cheche is not doing well in one of her school subjects and she has to catch up to maintain her top position of the student's honor list. He asks Marlon what she is going to do. "I assigned you to do the task. Your daughter is more important than anything else." Herminia has to give up her community work and closely supervise Cheche. Seldom Marlon is together with his children going home working late and still sleeping when the children are leaving for school. Herminia doesn't like what Marlon is doing to them. She confronted him and Marlon said to her. " I'm doing my job." There's nothing Herminia can say. Yes he provides everything they need but is that enough? The next time she made a visit to his office without notice Marlon is not there. His secretary told her he is coming to work later. Herminia is bewildered. "Where could he be? He didn't say anything when he left this morning." she asks herself. That night he waited for him and asked why he is not there. Marlon shrugged. " Why do I have to tell you, I'm doing my job." that is always his answer when similar incidents happened. She is thinking to tell it to his parents but the fear of making things worst and might blow into uncontrolled proportions she then tried to keep it to herself. "Mom, why don't we tell Dad about my school athletic game , he may come and watch me," Mar, their son suggested. That night Marlon is early to come home and Mar told him about the game. " Some other time" he said to them. Herminia and her children are dismayed. When will Marlon learn and understand what he misses in the upbringing of his children. Childhood only happens once and his children are missing all those times they must have been together.. Herminia tries to explain it to Marlon still Marlon seems not to understand. "Can we talk about this? How can we fix it?" she asks. Marlon just look at her. Man doesn't talk too much. They do what they want to do. This is the reality of married life. A woman has to put up all her patience to sacrifice anything for the sake of the family. How many times Herminia feared of breaking up. To turn Marlon around may not happen at all. Their children have grown to decide what they wanted on their own . Herminia has done her best to help them reach their goals to finish their education and independently find their lucrative high paying jobs in the city of Quezon where they live. Marlon stood on his words to be hardworking. Herminia and Marlon who has weathered the challenges of their marriage seemed to be a successful one but to Herminia the emotional burden of not being cared by Marlon only her children gave her the courage to keep going. No one knows whatever are the mischiefs or any wrongdoing he has committed without their knowledge is kept secret by Marlon who has the same thought of breaking up if he has discussed it with his family. They didn't know about the incident that a business partner almost took over the helm of operating their business but Marlon and his team beat them up by acquiring the whole business and driving them away. Marlon gets a share of his children's success providing their financial needs. To Herminia as a wife her ability to keep Marlon on her side is the thought Marlon even with his shortcomings to her and her children always say, as long as they have him at night and see him go to work means they are a family to be together at the right time despite of his absence at other times. Family relationships might break or not break but depends upon it's members.GP
