Britney finally made it to the bus stop. She Flopped down on the dirty public bench like a dead fish. She checked the transit app on her phone to make sure the 23 to Camden hadn't come yet. She was in luck. Not only did she not miss it, she had 5 minutes to become a lump on the log until it arrived.

Her feet dangled right above the stained pavement she just stood on. She tucked her head while her arms laid limply at her sides. This position made the baby blue covered globe in her center protrude more than ever before. As if it was on display intentionally. Britney's big but dimly green lit eyes stayed open. They were dying anyway. And her mind was empty. What use to live there got evicted many moons ago.

Britney and this particular day we're like twins in this very moment. It was a dry, Grey, unusually quiet Monday afternoon. Strange for the Big Buzzing fast paced city Britney called home. There were no cars in sight, all the birds must've went into hibernation cause they were missing as well. The wind was at a standstill and the sun took refuge behind the clouds. And most importantly no people. There were really no people on a Monday afternoon in the Big city?!

Britney didn't even notice or care. How could she? The light in her eyes was on life support. And maybe air had learned to quietly swatt in her vacant mind before that got threw out too. She sat on the bench as if she fully surrendered and was just waiting for Jesus to come back and take her up to Heaven. Either that or he'd tell her "I never knew you" before dribbling her like a basketball and slam dunking her straight down to Hell.

But wait there was a sign of life that stopped by to say hello. The life that swam in the world protruding from her core, came up from the bottom and sailed all the way to the top just to dive deep back down into the sea of baby blue. Not only did the life inside move, but it made noise aswell. A slow deep growling that caused tremors on the sea floor. Almost like a creature that uses eco location to find it's prey.

Aside from what was going on in her belly, Britney herself was still in a zombie mode. But life always finds life and she was destined to wake up when a random homeless woman magically appeared out of the grey and planted herself at Britneys right side. At last, who would've thought the stench of cat urine and bad hygiene would bring Britney back to life?!

Britney slowly lifted her head and turned to face her Re-animator. She was immediately met by 2 big green eyeballs surrounded by freckles with stringy oily yellow locks of hair that failed to cover the light reflecting from those eyes. The deeper Britney traveled through the eyes the closer she got to the Light.

Her journey through the soul was interrupted when the little peculiar looking blonde sitting beside her opened their mouth to smile. Tragically her mouth resembled a forgotten graveyard.

"Hey, ya been waiting long? Do ya kno what time the 23 to Camden comin?" Blondie asked in a voice so loud you'd think they were at some packed concert where you'd have to speak loud on purpose just to be heard.

"No I just got here, the bus should be coming in about 3 minutes" Britney responded while double checking her phone. "Hey, is it anyway ya could spare some change, Im really hungry and could grab me a burger or something" Blondie begged while pointing to the eerily empty burger joint across the street. "Sorry" Britney replied. "I don't have any change or cash on me only my debit card."

"Well that'll spend alright too, let's go" Blondie replied enthusiastically. "Yeah I would but the 23 will be here any minute now, and i can't miss this bus" Britney responded with empathy.

"Hey, I betcha God could stretch a minute. Especially for baby Evelyn-Dean." Blondie assured her. Britney finally placed her hand on her belly that had become a foreign far away land. Rubbing her bump with caution and a bit of 'ick' Britney repeated her 1st answer, "nah I can't risk missing this bus, not today. Sorry."

"I told ya how much ya wanna bet God can stretch a minute? Especially to feed baby Evelyn-Dean. How bout it?" Blondie asked. Britney's eyes widened and shock moved through her body like electricity. Locked back in her big bright greens, Britney asked "How do you know my mom?" "I don't know your mom" said Blondie shaking her head. " Then how do you know who Evelyn-Dean is?" Britney replied. "She's your daughter" Blondie said while eyeing Britney's stomach. "No!" Britney asserted. "Evelyn-Dean was my mom. The 1st of many 'moms' but the only one that ever truly loved me as her own." And who told you I was having a girl or having a baby at all for that matter" asked Britney.

"Look hun, Blondie chuckled. "I told you the only Evelyn-Dean I know is the little green eyed freckle face tow head that you'll be delivering in April."

Britney rose up from the bench relieved to see the 23 to Camden bus at the red light. Blondie knew too much but not enough thought Britney, who found it hard to avoid those glowing green eyes.

"Welp, my bus is here. So I guess April made it too late" Britney whispered. The bus pulled up and opened it's doors. Blondie stood and looked Britney and her big green eyes.

"Nope, she laughed. As long as God can stretch a minute, April and Baby Evelyn-Dean will be right on time." The doors closed and the bus pulled off. Blondie and Britney made their way across the busy intersection heading towards the now crowded burger joint.
