Fiction Funny Romance

I was having the dream again. My college crush, Jack Roberts, was saying something that I couldn't quite decipher. Suddenly, I heard clang, clang, clang. Someone was using my door's outdated knocker. I stumbled out of bed and down the stairs. I opened the door and my mouth dropped open. It was Jack, standing at the door with a black suitcase and a small smile.

"Did I surprise you?" he said.

"Well, yes," I said. "I wasn't expecting you for another week, and it's after midnight."

"Sorry," Jack said. "I just got so excited to see you. You look good."

"Umm...thanks?" I said. I was wearing a giant snowman sweater and no pants. I had also put on thirty pounds since the last time he'd seen me.

Jack ran a hand through his hair. "I'm sorry, but could you let me in? It's freezing out here."

I looked for something that would cover up my grey panties with the hole in the crotch but found nothing.

"I'm sorry," I said. "I just woke up. Come in, and I'll make you something hot to drink."

"Were you dreaming about me?" Jack put his suitcase in the foyer and shut the door.

"You wish," I said. "What do you want to drink? I've got hot chocolate, tea, or whiskey." I rushed into the kitchen and found an apron that said: "Kiss the cook".

"Do you need some help with that?" said Jack, as I tied the apron. It worked nicely to cover the underwear hole.

"No, I'm fine," I said.

Jack lifted the whisky bottle from the counter. "Drink?"

"Yes," I said, as I found two mismatched glasses. "You pour."

"I thought the guest wasn't supposed to pour." Jack deftly poured an equal measure of whisky in each glass.

"Who are you, Emily Post?" I tried to smooth my hair with my hands.

"No, but you look perfect just as you are," said Jack. He took a sip of whiskey and handed me my glass.

"Liar," I said. "Let's sit down at the table."

"I like your kitchen," said Jack, as he surveyed the heavy wood table and the black and white flooring.

I lifted my glass and drained it in one gulp.

"Thirsty?" Jack grinned.

I couldn't stand the sight of him smiling. He was just so attractive, with his light blue eyes and curly blonde hair.

"Very thirsty," I replied. Our eyes met for a moment, and a shiver passed through me.

"Cold? Here, have my coat." Jack unbuttoned his coat and draped it over my shoulders. As I glanced at him removing his coat, I saw that he had well-defined abs.

"Have you been working out?" I said.

"No, why?" Jack slowly took another sip of whiskey.

"It's not fair. I run fifteen kilometers a day, and I still don't have abs like yours."

Jack grinned. "You were looking at my abs?"

I sighed. "Only by accident."

"It's okay," said Jack. "I confess that I've been looking at your chest region."

"You mean my boobs?" I said.

"I prefer the term "breasts", said Jack.

I could feel my face turning red. "You shouldn't be looking at my...uh...knockers," I indignantly replied.

Jack's jaw dropped open. "Knockers?"

I grabbed the whisky and poured a tall glass for myself. "Hey! You were the one looking at my upstairs region."

"Upstairs region?" Jack laughed. "That's hilarious."

"Well, I'm happy that you find me so amusing, Mr. Boobs." I drank some more whiskey and got up from the table. "Would Mr. Boobs like some Christmas cookies?"

Jack beamed. "Mr. Boobs would like something else."

I swallowed the rest of my whiskey. "And what would that be? In addition to cookies, I also have fruitcake."

"I want you," said Jack.

I dropped the box of shortbread I was holding.

"Here, let me help you." Jack walked over to the box of shortbread on the floor.

"I've got it," I said. I picked up the shortbread that had fallen ont the floor and threw each of them into the trash. We both returned to the table.

"Why didn't you say you wanted me in college?" I said.

Jack sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "You were so gorgeous. I didn't know what to say."

"Oh," I said. I was beginning to feel dizzy, either from the whiskey or from close proximity to Jack. Maybe both.

"I don't feel so good," I said.

"I don't doubt it," said Jack. "You never could handle a lot of alcohol."

"Thank you very much, Mr. Boobs," I slurred. "I am sorry, but I don't think I can walk. Could you be of some assistance?"

"Of course," said Jack. "As long as you stop calling me Mr. Boobs."

"You were the one studying my chest like there would be a test on it in the morning," I replied.

Jack picked me up and held me in his arms. I could feel that he had been working on his deltoids.

"Your shoulders feel so good," I blurted.

"Thank you," said Jack. "You feel good, too. Can you point me in the direction of your bedroom?"

"Up the stairs." I yawned and relaxed into Jack's chest. Quickly, he made his way up the creaky steps.

"Is this your bedroom?" he said, pointing to the room on the left.

"Yesh," I said.

"You're adorable when you're drunk." Jack carefully deposited me on my bed and laid the quilt over me.

"Don't you want to have sex?" I whispered.

"Yes," said Jack. "But not with a drunken woman. That would be taking advantage of you."

I grinned. "You can take advantage of me."

Jack laid down next to me. "I plan on doing that and more," he replied. "In the morning. For now, I'll stay here, just in case you need you need to get to the bathroom quickly."

"Okay," I said. "Have it your way."

Jack winked. "In the morning, I'll have you my way. For now, go to sleep."

"Can I have you my way, as well?" I pulled the quilt up to my chin.

"Definitely," said Jack. "Just out of curiosity, what does your way involve?"

"Shortbread and whipped cream." I closed my eyes. "What does your way involve?"

Jack thought for a moment. "A fully body examination, beginning with your mammary glands."

"Deal," I nodded, shaking Jack's hand.

"Deal," repeated Jack. "But I must tell you, I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight."

"That's okay. Now we're even for you waking me up."

"That sounds fair," said Jack.

I fell asleep. In the morning, Jack woke me with a kiss. It is up to the reader to imagine what happened next.
