Overview
I am a Senior Commissioning Editor specialising in history, memoir, folklore, and myth-inspired nonfiction, with extensive experience shaping books from early concept through to final manuscript. I work closely with authors to develop ideas and guide projects towards publication.
Alongside my editorial career, I am also the author of over 20 books, which gives me a grounded understanding of the writing process from both sides of the desk—the excitement, the uncertainty, and the inevitable moments of doubt. I can help authors see the wood for the trees!
My particular interests lie in women’s history, folklore, myth, and the supernatural, but I have worked across many subject areas, from Vikings to the Tudors to nearly every period in history.
Authors come to me at all stages of development. Some arrive with a rough idea needing structure and direction; others bring a full draft that isn’t yet working as it should. In every case, my focus is the same: to help you shape a coherent, confident, and publishable book that resonates with its readers.
