Overview
My artistic expression is profoundly shaped by my textile design degree, which has cultivated my passion for the intricacies of floral patterns and ornate backgrounds within my conceptual illustrations. I’m often inspired by Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements. My fascination with the decorativeness of these periods is so intense that I often find myself in antique stores or, in the cold months, sipping tea, petting my cat and scrolling across auction websites, looking for listings of unique tiles, bookends, and carafes. For this reason, I have too many nightstand lamps...
Another big part of my work is pencil textures. Both the outline and the shading are done in digital 6B pencil, as I love the organic and natural feel of the finished piece.
I start client projects with 2 - 3 idea sketches and then we work from there.
Since I work digitally, editing work and adjusting the colours as the project progresses is simple, just ask. Together we can create something beautiful!
