"Robin did a fantastic job editing my first novel. She got under the hood, she rolled up her sleeves and she asked questions. Her knowledge and expertise are second to none. One year after the completion of the product, I'm still amazed by the detail and thoroughness of her work. While I was definitely pleased with my book, I am without a doubt *proud* of the polished end result and would recommend her wholeheartedly. She is the *only* person I will trust with my next project." - Thomas McKenzie, author of "KnoWare Man"

Ever since the American Society of Magazine Editors awarded me an editorial internship with Rolling Stone at age 21, I have devoted my professional life to working with words. My years as a freelance proofreader and copy editor for Penguin Group USA ignited my passion for literary editing, and I cut my teeth on everything from updated classics to cutting-edge contemporary works to New York Times best sellers. (One best seller, "The Magicians," even became a hit TV series on Syfy!) My subsequent professional experience as a technical editor, finessing complex environmental engineering documents into polished gems of clarity and style, only sharpened my eye for detail and honed my wordsmithing skills to a razor-sharp edge. I now work full-time as a freelance literary editor and am honored to help bring so many wonderful books to life for first-timers and established authors alike.

I offer top-notch proofreading and copy editing services across a wide range of genres, both fiction and non-fiction (see below). And I'm always eager to expand my horizons by taking on something new! My personal passions are new age/spiritual/inspirational, channeled works, mental health, fantasy, magical realism, dystopian, and young adult. I am also well versed in both hard copy and digital markup techniques, as well as multiple style guides, so I am prepared to accommodate your unique needs. And with over ten years of experience as a full-time freelancer under my belt, you can rest assured that I am prompt, courteous, responsive, and reasonable with my rates.

As a born word nerd, I promise to take the utmost care with your work, going beyond the basics to truly understand and preserve your unique voice. I'll ask questions. I'll make suggestions. I give 110% in everything I do - and editing is where I really shine.

John Kindschuh
Robin is outstanding. I asked her to perform a "developmental edit" of my manuscript. She suggested many textual revisions (word choices, sentence structure changes, etc.) without ever jeopardizing my voice or message. I was excited to see her level of engagement; I am convinced my book will be significantly better because of her efforts. I highly recommend working with Robin, especially as...

I have nothing but genuine respect and appreciation for Robin's interaction with me and the demonstration of her work skills. I was impressed from the start of our conversations and this has only grown with time and service. My book sits within the self-help and spirituality part of the shelving, and Robin confirmed a genuine and obvious interest in these genera.
