Overview
I believe to be a good editor (and writer), you have to be a good reader and I am an excellent one! I love to read widely and work on different projects where I can use creativity, communication and experience to help others succeed.
I've previously worked at corporate and independent UK publishing companies. I've worked on literary and women's fiction, memoirs, short stories and poetry collections from debut authors as well as Booker and Women's Prize nominees and winners. My strength is that I am a people person and will get to know the specific needs of the project and the client so I can deliver best results.
I am very passionate about supporting underrepresented voices and would love to work with people who are also curious and ambitious.
'Rali's editorial expertise has been tremendously helpful for my latest novel manuscript. She was thorough with her suggestions and edits. She spent time with the work to understand what it was trying to communicate, and helped make it so much sharper and stronger' Farah Ali, author of Telegraphy (out in Jan 2026 with CB Editions)
‘I have always admired Rali’s amazing work ethic and her passion for good writing. Not only is she intelligent and insightful, she’s hugely supportive of authors at every stage of the publishing process – I would have been quite lost without her advice and encouragement’ Sally Oliver, author of The Weight of Loss (out now with Oneworld)
'Rali has been a delight to work with: the north star of competence, reliability and initiative' Peter Godwin, author of Exit Wounds (out now with Canongate)
