Ragav Maripudi

Ragav Maripudi – Editor

Dedicated developmental editor specializing in global stories, border stories, migrant literary fiction and memoir.

Overview

I'm a fiction and nonfiction editor with 3.5 years trade editorial experience at Bloomsbury Publishing, deeply interested in collaborating with writers who explore the liminal spaces between society, culture, and identity. I have experience working across genres, but I gravitate towards family histories, migration stories, cooking, and food history.

As your editor, I will always remain dedicated to the ultimate goal of my services: to help you deliver a complete work that will reach your intended audiences. I pride myself on my consistency, I will take the time to understand the intention behind your work, and make sure it is imbued into every aspect of their work, from writing style to narrative structure, and everything in between.

I gravitate towards authors who have insights and unique viewpoints into the cultures and histories they write about and I love tender and thoughtful stories that challenge convention. Ultimately, I'm looking to help writers unlock the transformative power of their storytelling through mission-driven editing.

My experience with Ragav was very fine. He understood what I was attempting to do and had some extremely useful suggestions; our post-edit conversation was especially productive. We did have to extend the timeline, for acceptable reasons and that was not a problem. I would happily work with Ragav...
