Having spent twelve years at Pan Macmillan and HarperCollins, editing bestselling fiction authors, I now offer a range of expert publishing services. My areas of expertise encompass women's fiction, crime thriller, suspense and historical fiction.
During my time at Pan Macmillan, I worked with bestselling authors such as Danielle Steel, Lucy Diamond, Karen Swan, Annie Murray and Elaine Everest. At HarperCollins, I worked with Cecelia Ahern, Lauren Weisberger and Philippa Gregory. No author is the same, and the same is true of your book. I offer a bespoke service to every project:
Whether it be a complete structural edit of your text, where I send suggestions as to how you might get your book ready for agent submission or publication. Perhaps you have an agent, and you need my assistance line editing to make sure that your book stands out when it reaches the commissioning editor’s desk? Alternatively, it might be a copy edit, and I would be happy to ensure there are no hiccups for your readers; which involves fact- and consistency checks.
As a commissioning editor, I understand the need for eye-catching titles and how they will position your book in the market. If you need a title or copy advice, these are services I can offer. In addition, I would be happy to provide a cover brief for self-published authors, so that you can ensure that you’re sending all of the right information over to your chosen cover designer.
Finally, I work for a digital book club called The Pigeonhole. If you would like an assessment of your social media channels or help to build a social media plan ahead of publication, I can also provide that service.
Look forward to working with you soon!
Having worked at Pan Macmillan, HarperCollins and Constable and Robinson, I provide editorial advice based on a sound understanding of the publishing landscape. Whether you are preparing for agent submission, or under contract, I can help polish your manuscript for publication.
Senior Commissioning Editor, working on brand authors including Danielle Steel, Lucy Diamond and Karen Swan.
