I am a writer, editor, and aerospace engineer with eight years of professional experience and two master's degrees in children's literature.
Overview
My authors tell me I am nurturing, exacting, and an all-around hoot. As my client, you will get the benefit of my lifelong honed skills in developmental editing and critique, my varied editorial experience at independent and educationally focused children's book publishers (Albert Whitman, Charlesbridge, Barefoot Books), and my sensibility as a professional reviewer of trade children's books (Kirkus Reviews). You'll also receive my insight from my MA in children's literature and my MFA in writing for children from Simmons College. Maybe you'll even get some knowledge from my BS in aerospace engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology—you'd be surprised how often that comes in handy.
