Nina Leon

Nina Leon – Editor

Literary agent and experienced fiction editor specialising in fantasy and romance, dedicated to helping authors achieve their dreams.

Overview

As an editorially-focused literary agent with deals across major US and UK houses, I have a strong understanding of what it takes to elevate a manuscript to a competitive level. Alongside agenting, I’ve worked as a freelance editor for many years, helping new authors develop the core skills they need to become confident, compelling writers.

I have a detail-oriented editorial style focused on strengthening a story’s structure, pacing, character development, and worldbuilding, as well as the more intimate dynamics between characters and how those dynamics drive the narrative. I work well with both experienced authors as well as first-time authors. I’m open to all genres and age groups, with a particular interest in fantasy and romance.

Author testimonials:

“I wouldn't trust anyone else with my work.”

“Nina is such an expert in developmental edits and narrative structure; she always has her finger on the pulse of what will make the story stronger.”

“I trust [Nina] with all my editing needs, knowing that she will help me craft my book into the strongest version of itself.”

“I cannot recommend Nina highly enough as an editor!”

“Nina has been integral in my novel’s editing journey.”

Nina was wonderful to work with and so patient with my inexperience. Being a first time author, she answered all my questions politely and professionally. In addition to her editorial letter, she connected with me for an almost 2 hour long call, going over all my questions I still had. This reall...
