I built my own author platform before going viral. One video. 250k+ views. 1,000 subscribers in 48 hours — because I’d built somewhere to catch them. They’re now on my mailing list, fans of my books, and mine forevermore.

"Ellie designed and built the author site for my debut book, The Choice Is Yours, and then carried the work well past the design into launch marketing and handover. That range is rare, and it is the reason I would hire her again. What stood out first was how quickly she found the voice of the project. The site reads like me, not like a template with my name on it. When I told her every visual on the site had to be original, she did not argue the point or look for a workaround. She replaced what needed replacing and moved on. She also knows where her work ends and mine begins. The book copy and my profile copy were mine to write, and she never tried to take that over. What she gave instead was structure: character limits, keyword guidance, a recommendation on what to feature and in what order. When I asked her opinion, I got one answer rather than a menu. Beyond the site she set up Substack, Instagram highlights, a full pre launch content calendar, and a recorded walkthrough so I could run the thing myself afterward. Nothing was left dependent on her. I designed and built my own author platform under my pen name EJ Eden ( romantasy). The goal: to create an immersive, genre-aligned digital hub that reflects the seductive, cinematic tone of my books and pulls readers deeper into the world of the series.

The existing website didn’t position them alongside larger construction management organisations or support their ambition to win higher-value contracts.
I led the web design and development to create a clean, professional website that positioned Aberdeen as a serious player in the construction management space. The focus was on clarity, capability, and credibility — ensuring the site could stand confidently alongside larger firms in competitive tender and procurement environments.

Be Companny
Be Company delivers executive leadership coaching and organisational development, with a focus on influence, workplace behaviour, and culture change. The consultancy is led by Nicola Woodward, former CEO of Women’s Refuge Christchurch, where she spent over 20 years in executive leadership before founding Be Company.
I supported Nicola to clarify the positioning of her offer and restructured the website to articulate the value of influence-led co-creation in the workplace. The language was refined to speak directly to decision-makers, ensuring the work felt credible, grounded, and relevant to real organisational challenges.
The outcome was a confident digital presence that reflects the authority of the work and supports engagement with organisational clients.
