As an editor, I have a genuine passion for this industry and strive to do justice to every collaboration. I am fully invested in my authors' success and their manuscripts, so my edits are extensive and honest. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with authors from all backgrounds, genres, and writing experience, helping over 200 authors edit their manuscripts and publish their books nationwide. Most books I edit are available on major platforms such as Amazon, IngramSpark, Kobo, Goodreads, and Barnes & Noble, and many have even reached bestseller status in their category.

Because I specialize in editing both Nonfiction and Fiction manuscripts, I am well-versed in editing while keeping the author's voice and stylistic preferences first and foremost. My goal is not to rewrite your book (thus writing you out!), but instead, to offer my professional opinion on how to strengthen its elements.

For all projects and/or requests, I offer Zoom calls for either a 'meet and greet' or to discuss my edits and next steps. During active contracts, I send weekly messages so you can stay up to date on my progress. Lastly, I mark all hands-on edits with tracked changes so you can see 100% of my work, and I attach all explanations and ideas to the document using in-chapter comments.

Services I offer:

--> Editorial Assessment: I thoroughly read your manuscript and draft the assessment, addressing all Fiction/Non-Fiction elements in 5-15 pages. By the end of the assessment, you have a clear idea of which elements you’re excelling at and what needs additional attention. With specific examples of what changes to make and how to make them, the goal is to create a report that gives you a strong sense of which direction to take your next revisions in, preparing your manuscript for the more extensive levels of editing that come afterward.

--> Developmental Editing (first level of editing): This is the most extensive round of editing; you will see the biggest changes happen to your manuscript during this level. I focus on big-picture elements that shape your manuscript’s development, including storyline, plot and scene details, underlying themes and messages, character arcs, dialogue and narration balance, and any other major Non-Fiction/Fiction elements that affect your book's readability.

--> Copy Editing (second level of editing): I ensure your manuscript reads accurately, clearly, and as intended. This includes a sentence-by-sentence review of the manuscript's tone, style, and consistency, and rephrasing as needed.

--> Proofreading (third and final round of editing): I target any remaining inconsistencies, including spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, and inconsistencies in style or point of view. I also do light formatting to ensure all style elements are uniform and aligned with industry recommendations, such as font choice, font size, and spacing between paragraphs and titles.
