Overview
I’m an associate editor at Algonquin Books, and a former assistant editor at Little, Brown and Company. Previously, I’ve worked in different editorial capacities with Graywolf Press, McSweeney’s Quarterly, and The Harvard Review.
At Little, Brown and at Algonquin, I’ve worked with and edited award-winning and bestselling authors, including Leslie Jamison, Mike Curato, Dean Spade, Tom Lin, Nathan Harris, David Sedaris, Luis Alberto Urrea, Jo Ann Beard, Daniel Mason, Tomas Moniz, and Jeremy Dauber.
My focus is voice-driven literary fiction that moves the conversation on contemporary issues or seeks to reveal something profound about its chapters. I edit short story collections as well. On the nonfiction side, I have experience editing narrative nonfiction projects across the memoir, nature, art, and big idea categories.
As an editor, I like to get deep into the network of structure, character, and point of telling—the framework through which the reader accesses your ideas. With clear, consistent communication, my job is to ensure your project is the best version of itself, and that it lands with your intended audience in the most resonant way.
Feel free to reach out about projects small and large, fiction and nonfiction.
