I have over 10 years of developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading experience. I love working on all types of manuscripts and meeting new authors. I work closely with clients to make sure we communicate all needs and stay on top of deadlines!

I hold a Ph.D. in Philosophy (York University) with specialization in political, legal, and ethical theory. I was born in Egypt but mostly grew up in Canada. After completing my graduate studies in 2012, I took up an assistant professor position in the United States. So, I am as diverse as my academic background and work experience!

During my career, I taught courses on ethics, creative writing, film, human rights, ethics, Islamic philosophy, logic, political theory, sports, and law. I have edited and proofread countless manuscripts. In addition to working in academia, I am also a freelance editor and have worked on novels, portfolios, autobiographies, and organizational model development. Together, I have extensive professional and personal experience working with all kinds of clients including CEO’s, lawyers, academics, authors, recent graduates, and top executives. As a result, I understand and value the unique needs of each project.

I work closely with every author to make sure we communicate clearly regarding all deadlines, milestone, and additional revisions or needs. My preferred method has always been Microsoft Track Changes so authors can see every change made as well as get pinpointed constructive comments and feedback. By the end, I ensure all comments have been addressed and manuscript goes through one last proofread to make sure everything is ready to go!

"Mohamad is a very knowledgeable and communicative individual. His feedback regarding my project was absolutely invaluable. His critical and analytical thinking helped to take my project to whole another level. Not to mention he's a great philosopher. I would select him over and over again. His timeliness and fairness is stellar. He goes above and beyond to help you achieve your goal. Really appreciate his integrity." - Pastor Moore, Author of 'One Moore Minute'

"The freelancer Mohammed was very attentive to understanding what I wanted in the editing of the work request. I was impressed from the beginning with him because he had read my writing and the passion he had for it connected with the direction I saw in improving my work. He was very concerned about giving me exactly what I want offering suggestions that gave me a brighter outlook where I want to go. I was very satisfied with his work and I look forward to working with him again soon. He was prompt with his timing on our scheduled conversations felt like I had a co-writer/Ghost writer. I was very satisfied in choosing him." - Demetrius, Author of 'The Man Behind the Man'.

I've worked with a number of editors in the past, and Mohamad stands out among them in terms of both the quality of his work as well as his professionalism. His editing was thorough and penetrating, and his feedback was warm and insightful. In addition, he is very comfortable working with big concepts and abstruse philosophical ideas. I highly recommend him.
