I'm a freelance content and copy editor with fifteen years' experience helping writers of fiction and nonfiction polish their manuscripts in advance of publication. I started with MacAdam/Cage in San Francisco and now work primarily with Dzanc Books, as well as freelance and independent clients. I have worked with New York Times bestselling authors and winners of the Chautauqua Award, Shirley Jackson Award, Eric Hoffer Award, PEN finalists, and more.

Developmental editing is the best part of my job. I believe every successful edit starts with a shared vision: understanding who you're writing for, what they need, and what matters most to you. I believe in being direct and respectful about what I think your manuscript needs. Working closely with you and pushing you to perfect what you've got on the page, that's my passion. From revamping major plot points to fine-tuning every word, every sentence on the page until it sings, I'm excited to do it with you.
