Melissa Rechter

Melissa Rechter – Editor

Collaborative developmental editing from a publishing professional of 7+ years

Overview

With over 6 years of editorial experience, and a total of 7 years in the publishing industry, I always view editing as a collaborative endeavor. I've worked with New York Times and USA Today Bestselling authors and my authors have received starred reviews from the trades. I work on cozy and historical mysteries, thrillers, and romance the most, but am also quite familiar with fantasy novels as well.

I'm here to make your project shine and work together to make it as strong as it can be.

Melissa's comments on where the manuscript needed work were detailed and examples on how to delve deeper into the characters were much appreciated. Her response to my request for quote was quick and she delivered on the date as promised.
