I enjoy working with authors on all phases of book development, from idea to book tour. I also bring technical knowledge on the granular and big picture best practices of the publishing industry. For more than two decades, I helped lead a small start up publisher where we learned these best practices together, out loud (the best way).

In my publishing career, I sourced manufacturing and supported early sell-in of new and classic series. I was involved in all levels of sales, marketing, acquisition and licensing of our titles and I love to talk about concepts and plans that go beyond the page.

I also love to get really technical about ISBNs and bar codes, Pantone colors, and even trademark and copyright registration. It is a rare pleasure to bring these skills to so many traditionally-publishing and self-publishing writers, and it's such an exciting time with so many emergent vehicles for storytelling.

There are many reasons a book can meet a reader where they are.

I have always most enjoyed working on books that uncover a truth and promote characters and stories of diversity and progressive change. I have worked on projects both niche and very mainstream and enjoy the tensions and challenges of both extremes.
