Hannah Bond

Hannah Bond – Editor

I am an editor specialising in commercial fiction with experience of working in-house at major traditional and digital publishing companies.

I am happy to work across most genres in commercial fiction and narrative non-fiction, but specialise in crime and thriller and women's fiction. I have worked on the editorial teams at Orion, Hodder & Stoughton, Bookouture, and Amazon Publishing UK, so have strong experience across traditional and digital publishing establishments. I have particular experience of managing incoming submissions across editorial teams: I know what people in the publishing industry are looking for, and how to make your manuscript or submission package stand out in the right way. Writing copy is also a passion of mine, and I'd love to work with you to develop an attention-grabbing blurb that will draw in readers.

In my pre-publishing life, I trained as a chef. While my focus as an editor has been primarily commercial fiction, I love food writing and have experience in recipe testing and development and food photography.

I would be delighted to work with you to get your manuscript into the best possible shape for either submission or publication. I can offer you a full structural and development edit, an editorial review, help with your cover letter and synopsis for submission, develop copy with you, or offer you general advice as a publishing professional.

Please do get in touch: I'd love to discuss how I can help you with your project.

Good prompt service with decent communication throughout, and honest criticism with a few good comments too to keep me going! A lot of money to pay, but guess this is par for the course.
