Overview
Everett is a bestselling, award-winning author, screenwriter, and experienced ghostwriter specializing in true crime, memoir, and deeply reported narrative nonfiction. He works with clients who have powerful, often complex stories to tell and need a trusted partner to shape them into compelling, publication- or production-ready narratives.
His traditionally published work includes In the Ghost Shadows: The Untold Story of Chinatown’s Most Powerful Crime Boss, a critically acclaimed true crime book nominated for both the Edgar and Dagger Awards and currently in development as a docudrama with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s G-Unit Productions. He is also the author of the award-winning novel Thirty-three Cecils, winner of the London Book Festival Fiction Prize, now being developed as a feature film starring Dustin Hoffman and Matthew Modine.
In addition to his publishing, film, and theater work, Everett has ghostwritten numerous nonfiction books and screenplays. This includes full-length true crime and memoir projects—several with accompanying film or documentary development—as well as seven screenplays currently in development and a stage play on tour. His work often involves sensitive, high-profile material, ranging from the account of a father who lost his son in a notorious mass murder to the memoir of a woman whose father was killed by the Russian mob.
Known for his discretion, rigor, and narrative precision, Everett approaches each project with a collaborative and structured process. He helps uncover the narrative core, organizes complex timelines and investigations, and crafts clear, emotionally engaging stories that meet both editorial and production standards.
Whether working from raw material or a fully developed concept, Everett brings clarity, depth, and impact to every story he helps bring to life.
REVIEWS:
I had the pleasure of working with ghostwriter Everett, who helped me understand the difference between how we write and how readers actually read. He took the time to truly get to know me—both as a person and as a writer—and skillfully brought those two sides together in my book. Everett clearly explained the entire writing and publishing process and successfully delivered my manuscript to a literary agent with experience and passion in my book’s genre. I’m grateful for his guidance and look forward to working with him on future projects.

I am beyond grateful for Everett, he is a fantastic and ethical writer, who not only got my story industry ready - but was also so invested that he is now my writing partner.
