Eva Polakovicova – Designer

I am a Slovak illustrator and book cover designer based in the Netherlands. Since 2018, I have worked with a wide range of self-publishing authors and publishers, including Arimei Books, Original Beans, Structo Press and the literacy charity First Story.

My style is characterised by distinctive colour palette and use of almost-tactile texture that enhances the atmosphere of the illustration. I often include unique hand-printed, hand-drawn or paper cut elements that are then digitised and combined with dynamic, thoughtful typography. One of my strongest assets is visual storytelling, expressing the written word through images.

With experience in a wide range of digital and analogue illustration techniques such as mixed media, riso, stamp and stencil prints on paper and textile, and also pattern and graphic design, I will provide your book with unique solutions that satisfy specific needs of your project and vision.

As a professional graphic designer, I have the expertise of translating my illustrations into digital files ready to go to print or be placed online. I can deliver your final print and ebook files in a variety of formats designed to meet the specifications of printers such as IngramSpark, Amazon KDP, and many others.
