Strawberry Willow was born in the Midwest in 1995, among some of the most haunted locations in the US. Growing up alongside stories of the haunted theater downtown, and river monsters in her local park, nurtured the storytelling gene inherited from her great grandmother. The dark history of her hometown and the urban legends she grew up around, as well as her fascination with history and folk lore, and her own traumatic past, influence the darkness in her writing style. Growing up, Strawberry has watched her home state of Indiana be torn apart by the war on drugs and the influence of white supremacy. As such, her strong stance against these and other attacks on the American people heavily influence her work and actions. Strawberry prioritizes diversity and sisterhood in her work.
