It was past midnight and I couldn't sleep. I looked at the half open window of my bedroom. A good run doesn't sound so bad right now. Maybe it'll tire me out and help me sleep. I swung my legs over the bed. I exchanged my PJs for sportswear. I was ready in three minutes. But I still needed my earbuds, I thought as I turned— I screamed. I hadn't heard the stranger in the clown mask crawling in through my window. There was a stranger in my bedroom! Luckily, I kept a bat underneath my bed. Just in case....
