The first time I noticed the woman in the white Toyota, she was sitting alone in her car, scrolling through her phone. She blew softly on her brightly colored travel mug, her lips pursing in a quiet, natural rhythm before she took a sip. It was a rainy day in September, cold enough for the windows to fog up.
