- Chapter 1 I made it into the Manchester Storm academy. I waited so long, and now, at the age of nine, I am fully able to say I am a player of the England junior ice hockey league. The biggest day of my life so far, the biggest achievement, the happiest, most hard earned moment. Yet the spotlight that I was supposed to shine under, that I was supposed to smile the biggest smile I’ve ever worn under, wasn’t mine for more than two people to see.
