Dear Judges,
Back in 1974 I was swinging on a rope with some friends over my driveway when mine broke. That sent me soaring about 18 feet according to the other kids, and landed on the pavement. That's caused me to have a head-injury that's ruined my life. Since then, it's been filled with pain, frustration and utter embarrassment, mostly pain. That's left me legally-blind with severe memory problems. My eyes are perfect, it's the pat of my brain that's been damaged which makes things fuzzy so glasses don't help. Still, I have a really creative mind which allows me to write poems, stories and songs to play with my guitar. Still, I've never won anything except 2 blue ribbons which have been misplaced, in spite of being the best at lots of stuff. Please help me. Thank you more then words can express.
If you would offer a poetry contest, I'm certain I could win it since I've invented my own rhythms and my sense of humor is off-the-charts, although my life is so miserable. All my poems are 60 lines each. To win something would make my mouth turn from an n shape into a u shape. In other words, the corners would be facing north instead of south.
Thank you VERY much for doing that extremely important, and major request for me.

Sincerely, your soon-to-be happiest t. b. i. survivor in history, Cuz Roye.
