Hi, I am Britt. I enjoy writing imaginative and out-of-the-box thinking story ideas. I enjoy writing soft science fiction where I can allow myself some freedom to be creative. The most important thing to me is to have fun while exploring ideas. Sometimes that takes me into other genres besides scifi. I do not like to feel boxed in. I like to blow up the box and define my own rules and have no boundaries. It is true that I have not been published. I do have a novel length project that I have been working on which I have titled, "Strings." I am determined to complete this novel and publish it. The story combines several things that fascinate me; String theory, music, and the emotional connection that any art can build with an audience. I have had this story idea in my head for a long time and it feels good to know it will be something I can share with the world. I have spent a lot of time in recent years studying "The Hero's Journey" and the three act story structure. This has been valuable knowledge for planning the storytelling of "Strings". I have also studied Karpman's "Drama Triangle" which I found fascinating to both understand drama in real life and to build drama in a story. In fact, the "Drama Triangle" inspired another story that I have titled, "The Drama Coaster". This will be the next project I work on after "Strings". A few authors that I am a fan of and would consider influences: Douglas Adams, Michael Crichton, HG Wells, Arthur C. Clarke, and most recently I have become a big fan of Andy Weir. I would also consider the TV series Farscape a huge influence because of it's out of box thinking, creative characters, character development, and very long story arcs. I love a lot of science fiction on TV and movies, but Farscape has been the biggest influence on me. I
