A warm, sweet, familiar scent wafts into my nostrils and immediately consumes my entire being. My mind goes into overdrive as my senses flood with a single purpose — to hunt and taste. I shut my eyes tight and inhaled incessantly until my lungs hurt. Not losing the scent trail was crucial, since humans had the tendency to walk quickly through my woods.
