Ciera Cox – Editor

I am an experienced copy editor with an eye for detail, clarity, and voice. My editing career started with a textbook project for a college professor while I was working toward my BA in English. Right out of college, I started as an in-house copyeditor and proofer for Blackstone Publishing in Ashland, Oregon. While at Blackstone, I worked directly with authors to fine-tune their novels prior to publication. As a proofer in the company, I served as the last line of defense to ensure no errors made it into the final printed novel. Because of this experience, I have an eagle eye for detail and a vast knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style.

One of my favorite things to help authors improve is dialogue. I love helping make characters jump off the page by ensuring their conversations sound like those you may hear in the real world. Additionally, I provide extensive feedback on grammar without compromising your unique voice as an author.
