Barry Timms is an award-winning children’s author and editorial specialist with over two decades of experience in the trade publishing industry. Specializing exclusively in children’s picture books, he offers expert developmental editing and manuscript critiques. As a former Editorial Director and Publishing Director, he uses deep industry insight to help authors refine their narratives for a global market.
Barry has also written over 20 picture books published by leading international houses, including Penguin Random House, Macmillan, and Walker Books. His work has been translated into more than a dozen languages globally and shortlisted for multiple awards, including the Scholastic Laugh Out Loud Book Awards in 2023.
