Abigail Rothberg

Abigail Rothberg – Editor

Copyeditor. 4+ years' experience with humanities and social sciences titles published by Cambridge University Press.

Overview

I have over four years' experience copyediting with clients such as Cambridge University Press, Taylor & Francis and Oxford University Press. I am well acquainted with Chicago-style editing as well as editing in MS Word and Adobe Acrobat. Previously, I worked in Sales with Oxford University Press and Macmillan and as a consultant in the nonprofit sector. In addition, I have several years' experience researching, editing and writing for a broad spectrum of projects. My many years of professional development have taught me to be vigilant with deadlines and budgets as well as thoughtful and clear in my communication.

I'm pretty straight forward when it comes to projects and like to get things done as efficiently as possible. I prefer as much communication as needed up front to make sure we we are on the same page (book pun!). For larger projects, I can provide a style sheet as needed and I will send you a few edited chapters before continuing with a book to ensure you are in agreement with my editing in general. My editing style is usually as light as possible and my aim is to preserve your voice and intention. I'll look forward to reading your work soon!
