Overview

I am a highly collaborative artist who loves to get excited with authors and publishers about their projects. I've worked in the publishing space for a long time and bring a unique blend of both design and illustration talent to the table.

Outside of working with major publishers such as Simon & Schuster, Macmillan Publishing, Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Quarto and more, I'm also experienced in the self-publishing world. After successfully crowd-funding my first children's book, I've since collaborated with the publisher Rocky Nook to create my own series of kids how to draw books.

I am the co-founder, designer, illustrator and creative director of the creative agency, Brave the Woods. We have worked with some of the biggest brands and publishers in the world, as well as with companies of all sizes, from startups to large advertising agencies. I consistently manage several client projects simultaneously, and frequently step into a creative director role with contract workers we hire. Over the years we have created a niche for ourselves being an agency that focuses on doing good, celebrating the great outdoors and encouraging play and learning with kids. Outside of client work, I am an online art educator and content creator. I've created and managed a successful YouTube channel, created several online art courses and taught physical workshops/lectures all around the country.

I was hired on Arnold Worldwide’s creative team to bolster the company's efforts to bring back in house designers and illustrators after years of relying on contractors. As the only illustrator on staff, I asked to work on multiple client accounts simultaneously, as well as participate in new client pitches. This allowed me to work with many different teams, clients, and work closely with the Chief Creative Officer and Executive Creative Director. I was also assigned internal work on the Arnold Worldwide branding, including early stage of the company's rebrand.

I was hired on as a data visualization designer to create infographics for commercial, editorial, animation and philanthropic clients. I balanced many projects at a time and was tasked with researching and making content-related decisions for the design. As one of the earliest hires for the startup, I worked very close with the founders and a young team of creatives managing large corporate clients.
