Overview
I'm a developmental and line editor specializing in speculative fiction, including fantasy, romantasy, horror, and science fiction. My approach is honest, collaborative, and always focused on strengthening the story you want to tell.
I help authors tackle the elements that make or break a manuscript: structure, character development, pacing, worldbuilding, voice, and prose. I'll tell you what's working and identify what isn't. I'll explain and give you practical guidance for revision while protecting your unique voice.
My traditional publishing experience includes working as an acquiring editor for a Penguin Random House affiliate and with NYT bestselling authors and Big Five publishers. I've also served as an editor for FIYAH Literary Magazine for Black Speculative Fiction, a Hugo Award-winning publication. Additionally, I mentored/coached new authors via We Need Diverse Books and completed a publishing mentorship program with Sourcebooks.
Whether your manuscript needs a developmental overhaul, assessment, or a careful line-level polish, my goal is to make your story sharper and uniquely yours.
