Suzy Vadori

Suzy Vadori – Editor

Author. Editor. Book Coach. I share the hard to find skills writers need to break into the industry to reach their writing dreams.

Overview

If you have a story to tell, I will meet you where you’re at (beginners and seasoned writers are both welcome!) with the project and guide you to write the book you know in your heart you were meant to write. I always deliver feedback in my incredibly positive and supportive voice, while not shying away from giving honest advice. You will come away from working with me with a step-by-step plan, customized to your book, to get your writing ready for prime time.

I became a writer after 20 years as a business executive, and was surprised and intrigued at how much more there was to writing a book than simple spelling and grammar. I've since spent more than a decade learning the craft of writing from some of the best agents, publishers, editors, and writers in the world, and share my proven techniques with writers of all levels, so that readers will instantly get what the writer is trying to say.

The publishing industry is evolving quickly. I work with hundreds of writers each year in my 1:1 editing and coaching practice who find homes for their books with traditional publishers, or publish their books independently, according to their own writing and publishing goals. I track evolving publisher and reader trends and expectations closely, and share everything I learn with the writers I work with. This means writers put their best foot forward to readers, making their ideas shine.

***TESTIMONIALS***

"Working with Suzy was like pouring rocket fuel onto my writing career! She’s absolutely brilliant at explaining concepts quickly, and helping me to understand and correct the flaws in my work so that I could reach my potential. I came away from every session feeling confident, inspired, and armed with the knowledge I needed to take my story to the next level. I can’t believe I spent years being terrified of sharing my writing for critique – when working with Suzy was actually a real treat! Now I have an amazing agent and sold my debut novel at a four-way auction!" - Jessica Bull, Author of the Ms. Austen Investigates Series

"It's like I was stumbling around in a temple with a flickering torch -- mostly feeling my way along -- and Suzy turned on the floodlights. I plotted and wrote a novel applying Suzy's excellent tips, tools, and strategies. I queried this book to a select group of agents and publishers and had a fifty percent full manuscript request and offer rate. I handpicked my dream agent from the offers. I can truly say that Suzy's course was an essential part of how I rapidly achieved this goal." - Felicity George, Regency Romance Author
