Tom Klonoski

Tom Klonoski – Editor

Bring the power of my decades of editing experience to your manuscript. Special expertise in copy editing and proofreading.

Overview

I have about 30 years of experience in publishing, primarily in educational publishing. My experience across a broad range of subjects allows me to bring a high level of expertise to just about anything that comes my way. During the last two decades I have been a senior editor of secondary-school textbooks in language arts, social studies, and math. While at McDougal Littell / Houghton Mifflin, I received a company award for my copy editing. Prior to editing textbooks, I edited reference books. During the last ten years I have had a second job as a freelance editor, handling trade titles primarily in business, social sciences, and college English.

Clients who hire me will benefit in multiple ways. I am a strong copy editor, proofreader, and fact checker all rolled into one. You can expect a thorough review done in a timely manner.

I am exceedingly pleased with the work Tom did on my history textbook. He found many issues I had overlooked; every criticism was logical and warranted. His incredible knowledge and edits truly elevated my project. I learned a lot from him about publishing conventions. Highly recommended!

Tom was great to work with. He was timely with his collaboration and communication. He could have easily checked the necessary boxes and left it at that. He invested himself in my project and helped me elevate the writing to a professional level. He was very reasonably priced and kept in line with every deadline along the way. My only regret is that he can't proofread this review on my behalf. ...
